Great falafel, but don't go at noon unless you like standing in long lines. The crisp outside and grainy inside texture of the falafel itself rivaled it's deep flavor, with a good helping of tahini to really accentuate the sesame that contrasted nicely with the pickled peppers and veggies adding a nice extra crunch. I also asked for chili sauce which was a nice balance of chili, garlic and a bit of creaminess that must come from either a mayo or perhaps hummus proportion. The only slightly less than memorable aspect of this falafel wrap was the flatbread that turned from a dry wrap to a doughy and chewy almost gummy wrapper by the time I got down to the end. Perhaps it's my fault for taking my time to eat it. But I was also eating another falafel from a competing tent up the street to do a side by side, bite by bite comparison. After the comparison, I can clearly see the advantages for a cylindrical wrap as opposed to a flatter pita configuration - more evenly distributed ingredients for a more consistent combination of flavors for each bite, better balance, better texture combination, easier and less messy to eat. Also, I have to respect a man who eats the food he serves up for others as his own meal!
The guys are making the wrap bread at the premise, ant thats a real difference. Fresh ingredients, 6 pounds for a large is a bargain.
Really delicious wraps, the lines can get a bit long but they move very quickly so it isnt a problem. The staff are always very nice and the portions are generous for the price, particularly when considering the location. I look forward to getting lunch here as often as I can.
I eat here whenever I am passing through soho at lunchtime. Best falafel wraps I've had, still to this day. This is the benchmark! Keep it up and thank you.
The staff are great and always friendly and I really like that they just concentrate on making falafel wraps and doing it to perfection. The hummus is fresh, grilled aubergines, salad and freshly made falafel balls fried at the stall. Really amazing food and a great price, it's top of my list for lunch in Soho.
I have eaten falafel in Israel, Lebanon and Jordan. Since then I have been trying to find anything similar to the texture and flavours one gets in these places, and Jerusalem falafel delivered insanely good, even the wraps were homemade.
If you love falafel, you won't be disappointed here. This is the standard I judge all other falafel joints by. The wraps are made a few minutes before you get them so they are really fresh. The falafel are savoury and crunchy. The salads and sauces mix gorgeously between the fillings. This place was my regular lunch spot 3 days out of 5 when I worked nearby. Good food, tasty, fast and cheap. The large 5 ball version was great for lining your stomach at lunch before going drinking in the evening. Looking forward to making a trip into Soho when things get back to normal and devouring more of these.
Phenomenal falafel wraps, treat yourself!!!Food: 5/5
Absolutely delicious vegan falafel wraps for only 5 pounds - it's a very generous portion for the money and super filling! You can pick and choose if you don't like one of the ingredients or ask for more sauce if you want, and the line goes through quickly. Awesome lunch spot!
Great for a quick and relatively cheap eat in case London. Popped here for lunch a couple of times and the guy serving was always friendly. The falafel wraps are a decent size, they don't skimp on ingredients. Would recommend!
