Wasabi Sushi has been my "go to" for many years for really great sushi in a fun, friendly, bustling little place in downtown Prince George. The seating is limited but I always get a seat. Takeout is really popular and very fast. Of special note: Having eaten at lots of sushi places around BC this is at the top of my list for the province. Why? Because of the freshness, abundant portion sizes, nice presentation, reasonable prices, and because of how friendly they are here. "Welcome back!" is what I get now when I walk in the door. Nice! Vegetarian options: A full range of vegetarian options so lots to choose from on the menu. They even have a vegetarian pre-made sushi refrigerated display for quick takeout.
The first time I ordered from them, it wasn’t the greatest. The sashimi did not seem as fresh as I would have hoped. I ordered from them tonight cause I wanted to give them another try. The Sashimi and Nigiri was better. But I was super disappointed by the roll. I ordered a black jack roll and the avacado was dark brown and stringy. Not something I want to eat, and for a $19 roll I would atleast excpect fresh avacado Needless to say I will not be giving them another try.
Wasabi is always consistently delicious! And their service is always great! I highly recommend it. This is their Prawn & Beef with Udon Noodles Vegetarian options: They've got plenty of vegetarian options. Kid-friendliness: They've got some quick and easy options for children.
This restaurant is my favorite go- to when I am in PG. I always look forward to their delicious sushi, excellent, and super fast, service! I appreciate that they have ready to go sushi for when you don't always have the extra time! Best SUSHI! You gotta go and try it!Food: 5/5
It was ok, not bad, not good. I wish they use really katsu sauce not teriyaki sauce for the katsus.
Great food option! One of my favourite restaurants in Prince George.Food: 5/5
So far, the best place to tuna tataki. Portions are larger than most sushi restaurants. Staff is so friendly. I love ordering from this restaurant. Thank you for your amazing meals.Food: 5/5
Can be a busy dine-in experience, but the staff are incredible with their food crafting skills. Sushi is an art form, happy to consistently enjoy their dishes when I do order or dine in Food: 5/5
Went for lunch with one of the kids, was delishious. A little messy, but super tasty. He had a bento box and said it was very good. Also did the coconut bubble tea, and he had strawberry. Will be back .Food: 5/5
DISAPPOINTING! I had a truly disheartening experience at this place. During my visit, the server, who I presumed to be the owner, was reluctant when we requested additional napkins. Her demeanor was standoffish, and she displayed a slight attitude towards us. The food itself was of subpar quality. The rice lacked stickiness and broke apart as soon as we tried to pick it up. As we were about to leave, we encountered further hesitation from the server when we asked for a larger box to pack our leftover food. It seemed as though she was attempting to save her own expenses, which I found truly disappointing. All in all, this experience was incredibly unsatisfactory, and I have no intentions of returning to such a place in the future.
