The James J. Hill house is a testament to the innovation and vision of the tycoon during his time. The house itself is massive, and so well designed. The tour itself was great, our tour guide was very well versed on the history of the family, and the house as well as its many live in workers.
Great place if you like history and old mansions. It is beautiful, and true tours are so informative. It has 5 floors, but you can only access 4. It has a fair amount of stairs, but also has an elevator for those that have mobility issues.

Beautifully preserved historical estate. MNHS guides are knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. Highly recommend the Summit Ave Walking Tour. We will definitely be back.
Good tour today, even with the heat. The stories are cool, but do miss some of the more detailed facts of the house itself.
It was a great experience! My whole family toured the house together and we enjoyed the antique furnishings. Dont forget to book ahead of time, or you may not be able to get a tour.
Hannah guide was lovely despite the heat today. Very knowledgeable but NO hidden tunnels...
