I am originally from Arizona and I honestly haven't had anything close to authentic Mexican food in a long time. I was so stoked when I heard about this place. It definitely did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Must try
One of the few good Mexican restaurants in Nanaimo! The Horchata is delicious. Definitely a must try. The service is fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable and the decoration is cute.
Hadn’t been in a while. Went. So good. So good! Went for lunch and thought about getting it for dinner too, but held back. Getting it tonight for sure tho. Lovely people, delicious food, and authentic atmosphere.

Jalapenos is the BEST Mexican restaurant in Nanaimo. Authentic and delicious : The staff are always so kind and friendly- it's a wonderful family owned restaurant. The burritos are amazing!
If you are tired of bland tasting Mexican cuisine then this is the place for you. Flavourful beyond belief and at reasonable prices too. The Al Pastor Burrito along with the Steak Taco are my favourites. Also check out the display case on your way out. If you have been to Mexico you will recognize some of the goods and spices for sale.
