J & J Eaton Place

The Eaton Place always has good food, and a showcase full of homemade pies and cakes. They also do great buffets Thursday through Sunday, and several lunch and dinner specials through the entire week. This is a great place to bring the family or just grab a cup of coffee and a piece of pie. It has a large capacity for seating guests, but at times you may have a line to stand in, but never to long. Great service, with good prices make it our family's staple for dining out.

We never got an opportunity to eat here. We walked in and waited to be seated while an employee or the owner was sitting at the cash register two feet away from us. We were never greeted or even acknowledged. A waitress came and began conversing with the other woman, both ignored us. We became annoyed and left. I hate to leave a bad review based on nothing more than this, but I have worked in the service industry and find this type of apathy unacceptable, as if our patronage was unneeded or unwanted. Sadly, this is becoming more common.

Good comfort and like homemade food, excellent dessert. Reasonable price. Nice atmosphere. Can take a family but still reasonable for businessmen.

Great food and great staff. I highly recommend getting the skillet with gravy, scrambled eggs and hash browns in it.
