Friendly service and fast. Had the Staff favorite which was ok. My wife had the special Whiskey with whipped cream. which she did not like the taste after a bit. But the food was excellent. Deviled Eggs with bits of meatloaf was so tasty. The Mac & Cheese was chewy with good flavor with the Texas toast. . My wife liked the Jambalaya. Had enough to take home.
Just as called out by the popular dishes from reviews, their deviled eggs and fried chicken were amazing! Deviled eggs have spam on top, do note if if you don't eat pig. Fried chicken was very well cooked and smelled/tasted nice. I'm glad that they're open till 10:30pm!
One word….delicious!!! Found this little gem of a restaurant just down the street from the Bend Visitor’s Center! Friendly service, amazing menu AND pet Friendly! This is the perfect Place to grab a bite or meet Up with friends for a drink. Awesome atmosphere and staff that makes you feel right at home! The lobster Mac and cheese is absolutely killer!! Love love loved it!!! So when in Bend, be sure to stop and tickle your tastebuds and enjoy an atmosphere of fun and enjoyment!
You can't get more Bend than J-Dub! Done! . . .. ... ....MIC DROP!!! End of review... what more can I say? The establishment speaks for itself! Jon Weber and the team, atmosphere, and menu at J-Dub have made this a Bend staple in one of the beats in the heart of Downtown. Family friendly in the front to the party people in the back and everyone in between will most likely find something to soothe the appetite or quench the thirst. Even if it's "I Don't Know" or "I Don't Care".... that's actually on the menu! And don't be shy, act like a kid, grab some crayons, and craft your next masterpiece. They might hang it up if it's good enough! OH, and if you've never had a donut burger, do that! Trust me, it's an experience, The J-Dub Burger is Awesome but a wee bit of a gut bomb, so just come hungry, that's all! The kids menu is great and the tables all have paper and crayons for all ages! 1st time in Bend, 1st time dining here and it will definitely not be the last! We had the fried chicken special, seasoned like we do it in the south!! My companion enjoyed the collards seasoned with pork and creamed corn.. I enjoyed the garlic mashed potatoes with mushroom brown gravy and creamed corn. Nice portion size . Chef Dave you did that!! Huckleberry lemonade was the perfect adult beverage and lastly I almost forgot the deviled eggs were very very tasty! We will be back sooner than later, our waitress was very attentive and had fabulous suggestions.. Your mouth will thank you for dining here..
We really liked the atmosphere. We had dinner on the back patio and everything was great. I was not too sure about the crab sandwich though.. not typically something I'd eat.
PERFECT SPOT! Jordan behind the bar and everywhere else took great care of us and was extremely pleasant! We stopped in for lunch just on a whim and boy are we happy we did. J Dubs has an eclectic little bar area in the back that is both comfortable and homey and inviting. Our first time here but it felt like we were locals, it was that comfortable. My wife and I shared the Soft-Shell Crab basket per suggestion from Jordan, and it was exceptional. We would have stayed longer but it was our first day in Bend and we had exploring to do in and around the downtown area. Thank you, Jordan, for making our visit to Bend just that much more memorable. See you next time!
I had the black bean veggie burger with the sweet potato tots. It was all excellent! I've tried a lot of veggie burgers at many different restaurants and this one is in my top three. The burger patty itself was flavorful at some restaurants the veggie patty is a bit bland tasting. The other ingredients on the burger complemented the burger well. The burger was sizeable but still easy to consume without pieces falling out everywhere and being messy to eat. I hate when burgers are messy, hard to eat with half the contents of the burger ending up falling on my plate. This was not the case here at all. The sweet potato tots were excellent! I wish more restaurants served these as I enjoyed them more than sweet potato fries. Little crunchy morsels of heaven The restaurant was clean and orderly. There were not many other customers when we went, so the atmosphere was quiet and peaceful. No loud music or TVs either which was great. Parking was a hassle since it's in downtown Bend. We found a parking lot a couple blocks away that had a space available. The service was good. The server was very careful to take down the orders correctly and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Vegetarian options: They have a great veggie burger and other vegetarian options as well.
A blink and you miss it bar and restaraunt. Staff is friendly and welcoming, food is constantly changing and delicious. Had a lobster roll and some deviled eggs, and found out they change the toppings each week. Makes this a pretty fun place to visit multiple times. You can hear the music, but unlike anlot of places its at a reasonable volume to actually talk to people. Great place, cant wait to visit again.
I was looking for a place to eat dinner that was open in Downtown Bend. The J Dub appeared to have a nice menu and I walked to find the main dining room empty. I was seated at a table by the bar and reviewed the menu. The bartender took my order of Californian Chicken Sandwich and a huckleberry lemonade. I received my order in about twenty minutes. The chicken had good taste with the pesto and avocado. The French Fries were not overcooked. The huckleberry lemonade had the right amount of tartness and sweetness. Located on Bond Street in Downtown Bend with an outdoor dining area. A good place to eat dinner with a number of burger and sandwiches, friendly service and a full range of bar drinks
