Ivanhoe Pub

Fun place!!! One of the oldest pubs in Vancouver. Was lucky enough to be here during a blues jam so we stayed a lot longer than expected. The restaurant isn’t open for seating yet but serve food in the bar. Great bar food and staff is very cool!

Excellent, friendly, honest and professional bartenders; two dollar pool tables; decent selection of fine spirits and inexpensive hotel rooms for right above. It is a central, easily accesed location driving or two Skytrain lines a block away with a little bit of free parking around the side and back. I think I'll be back for the zero-cover charge live music on Sunday afternoons after 4PM or to shoot pool with the friendly regulars, some of whim live long-term in the hotel. I hear from staff that it can get rowdy but saw none of that and an early close on a Thursday night. For a very old hotel tavern, I thought the decor and furnishings were in pretty good shape and not super cheap, nor musty nor excessively stained carpets. Good job on basic upkeep of the tavern. Nice, interesting round bar with a round island in the centre. I think this would be a good shooting location for film and television. It's old and we'll worn but kept up and has real character! Also not too pricey with badic snacks available too.

The OG of Vancouver dive bars. Casual vibe with a limited menu and a cook/server working her butt off for our large group. Drink prices are reasonable and there's even live bands. This was once a place that was too sketchy to enter, oh how times have changed.

Lowkey greasy.. it’s not a place for the weak to go. Interesting characters, a strong noticeable but not unbearable smell. Beer is cheap, vibe was chilled. There’s a pool table and a few arcade games I think. There’s also a hotel upstairs if you’re into that type of stuff LOL

The food was great! The prices were great! It's also connected to a pub and you could order your food and then sit in the pub to drink if you prefer. We ordere the grilled cheese with fries and the bacon chicken Caesar wrap. We paid 20$ with tip! Best place we have eaten at so far in Vancouver!

Skeevy old bar but fun if you bring your friends always an empty table and a pitcher at hand. I would suggest going there as your last choice after your sufficiently plastered.

Really nice place to have a drink and listen to live music plus they have off sales. Totally enjoyed my time there!

Been here too many times to count. Good dive bar in a rough part of town.
