Islands Café

Love this place! Such a great place for a cup of coffee and a light meal. The Ono Kai bagel is so fresh, and the Acai bowl is the perfect combo of sweet, sour, and crunchy.nnI'd definitely recommend this place! They have some outdoor seating as well, which is perfect when its nice and sunny out.

Pretty run of the mill cafe that follows the typical formula around here: Make you wait too long for over-priced stuff while you sit and enjoy the otherwise nice atmosphere and decor. Oh well. It's a nice spot for a casual coffee meet-up, atleast.nnEDIT: As a follow up to my previous review, I wanted to give credit where it's due. I recently had a workmate treat us to some grub from here and it was great. I got a bagel with cream cheese, avocado and tomatoes and it was a generous portion, made quickly, cost the same as a greasey breakfast sandwich from any big chain and was infinitely more satisfying. I appreciate a business that makes an honest effort to please customers.nCheers

Love this location. Staff are super friendly. Açaí bowls are delicious. Prices are pretty reasonable. Great seating area inside and a few tables outside as well.

Posted an initial review about how excited I was for Islands branching out to Ocean Park. But a few months later I’m disappointed with the lack of that well know Islands vibe. Although the coffees great this outlet reflects more of the sterile Starbucks environment. No comparison to the packed Johnson road outlet which is cozy, welcoming and offers one a laid back Aloha experience. Star off for not having a regulation accessible washroom. The rest of facility is flat, no carpet but manual entry door access.nPs free wifi.

I went to this new location on opening day, amazing coffee, delicious pastries, friendly and prompt servers, very clean restaurant with a nice patio seating at the front, plenty of free parking and as the other island cafes locations the prices are reasonable, I am not sure if it was because of the opening day but I went to order a second cup and the server gave me a free refill, try the lemon loaf, you will thank me later, well recommended.
