The best place to go fishing. My first day fishing at Island Lake was a BLAST. It was totally awesome and the staffs are super friendly. There is a free rod rental and the boats are about $60 for half the day which is not bad. Lots of fishes and lots of fishers. Trails are super cool as well. Great way to spend $80 and enjoy the whole day with your family.

Beautiful lake, not too small, not too big. Perfect for a family day trip. They rent kayaks, kanus, motor boats, paddle boards and charcoal barbecues. There are clean washrooms on the premises and bigger groups can reserve areas for themselves. The staff is very friendly and they will help set up the barbecue. There is also plenty of parking and even an electric car charger. There is a small fee to enter the area and all the rental prices are really reasonable.

Loved this place! Fiancee and I did the 8.5 km trail with our dogs and had an amazing time! Trail had great views and different terrain-so it made for an interesting hike! Otherwise, the conservation area had a number of pavilions and outdoor space that we saw people rent. Plenty of parking space, but there are lots with extremely limited space (eg the Beach Parking Lot) and people parked wherever they pleased - which made for a tight drive getting in and out of the lot, would recommend the large parking lot and just walk wherever you need to go.

Wish there were more activities other than walking, but if running g and walking is all you want then this is a lovely scenic location!

Great walking and bike trail with connecting bridges surrounds the lake. Boat rentals and picnic areas. Well maintained.
