Loved this place in Woodstock!nI recommend the fish and chips, spinach dip and calamari! The best best part is that there are gluten free options available for my mother in law! Thank you for the great service and food.nI would come back here for sure. :
The place looks great, well laid out, plenty of seating. The evening we were there they had a great jazz blues band. The food took longer than expected, during our wait I noticed the cutlery was a pressed style steel that you might find in a low end fish and chip shop. I wasn't impressed with the food, ordered the buttermilk chicken sandwich, the bun was burnt on the inside, the portion size was good. Other items of note, how can a nice pub spell Alexander Keith's wrong on their menu. No fault of the restaurant but the street closures made it very difficult to find the place. I used Waze for directions with difficulty.
Dear Ironworks Kitchen Team,nnI hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding a takeout order I placed by phone earlier today. I have dined in and ordered takeout from Ironworks Kitchen several times in the past, and I’ve always had a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, today was quite the opposite.nnI ordered the Calamari, a Chicken Sandwich, one pound of Chicken Wings with Sweet Thai Sauce, and a can of Pepsi. The Pepsi was never delivered. Additionally, the packaging of the order was completely inadequate. My delivery driver nearly dropped the food as it was handed to her in three individual boxes without a proper bag or container to secure them.nnUpon opening the order, I was extremely disappointed with the quality of the food:nnThe calamari was undercooked, lacked any seasoning, and was frankly inedible.nnThe chicken wings were also undercooked, not crispy or golden brown as expected.nnThe chicken sandwich was the only item that was somewhat acceptable, but still reflected poor preparation.nnThis is not the level of quality I expect from your restaurant, especially considering the total cost of $75, including delivery. Sadly, the entire order ended up being discarded.nnIt's not a good feeling when I have to give a bad review—I honestly don’t like doing it. But when I see how I’ve thrown my hard-earned money in the garbage, it’s very upsetting.
This was my first time dining at this establishment, and I came as part of a group. We were seated near the center of the dining room, which gave us a clear view of the lively atmosphere. The space had a warm, inviting ambiance, with hanging lights casting a soft glow and a constant hum of conversation that added to the energy of the evening.nnOur server, Victoria, was attentive and personable, taking our orders promptly and offering recommendations with a smile. I decided on a glass of Pinot Grigio and chose the peppercorn mushroom Swiss burger with fries as my entrée.nnI’ll admit—I’m not usually a fan of mushrooms, but I wanted to step outside my usual choices. To my surprise, the mushroom Swiss burger was far more enjoyable than I expected. The sautéed mushrooms brought a silky, almost creamy texture, giving the burger a richness that balanced the savory beef patty. The patty itself was cooked well, though not especially memorable, but the melted Swiss cheese added a nutty depth of flavor that tied everything together. The bun was fresh and slightly toasted, sturdy enough to hold the burger without being dense, which made for a satisfying bite.nnThe fries were classic—crisp on the outside, fluffy on the inside. They did cool a little quicker than I’d have liked, but they still had a pleasant crunch. In contrast, the burger held its heat throughout the meal, which I appreciated.nnThe Pinot Grigio was a bit sharp on the first sip, leaning more bitter than I usually prefer, but it opened up nicely after a few sips, becoming a refreshing complement to the richness of the burger.nnFor the table, we shared a spinach dip appetizer. Some felt it had a bit of heat, but for me, the mild kick added welcome character. The dip itself was creamy and well-seasoned, with a balance of cheese and spinach that made it easy to keep going back for another bite.nnOverall, it was an enjoyable evening. While not every element was flawless, the meal was satisfying, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere made the experience feel special. I’d happily return to explore more of the menu.
Tried this place out the other day. The food was a little underwhelming, the brisket nachos , was expecting some shredded brisket or notable amount of brisket Ended up with some little chunks spread throughout and very little toppings, the bacon wrapped asparagus wasn't cooked right, and was basically dry and crunchy. My gf enjoyed the mussels. The pappardelle noodles were pretty good, but the Pesto sauce was almost a little watery to me. The shrimp tacos were tastey, but consisted of only 2 shrimp each and some mushy filling not very appealing. The place itself was very nice and the waitress was great.
