We had a lovely lunch experience here when we were passing through Woodstock! We had a chance to try a lot of the traditional pub fare including haggis, fish and chips and Toad in the Hole. We also had traditional Irish beer to wash it all down. The service was fast and friendly. We all had a great time and really enjoyed our meal and look forward to coming back to try more of their delicacies! The decor of the restaurant was very charming and really transported you back to Ireland or England to a traditional pub to enjoy a refreshing beer and hearty pub fare.
Fantastic gem right in the heart of downtown Woodstock. This place gives a wonderful experience and is like being in an authentic English pub. Great food, drinks and atmosphere with friendly service. Highly recommend!
I got the red sangria, Dickens burger, fries, and a salad. The server was attentive and kind. The atmosphere is spot on for Charles Dickens.
Phoned for a reservation for 16. No problem to accommodate. Friendly staff and atmosphere. Our group enjoyed ourselves and everyone was very pleased with their order. Prices were reasonable and our server was excellent. I had the fish and chips... Very good and one of their mainstays. Will be back again even though we are from out of town.
In town on a Friday night with a group and we decided to have diner at the Dickens. Amazing service, food and we had a great chat with the new owner. I had the lamb burger it was perfect. All the guys had a great meal. To top it off there was a great band playing so we ended up closing the place. Thank you to all the staff for making the trip memorable. Don't miss an opportunity to eat here or just have a beer.
