Iron Goat Pub & Grill

Loved this restaurant so much we chose to eat there two nights in a row. Our servers were great both nights and the food was wonderful! We especially loved the mango berry cheesecake and of course I forgot my pic of it. We loved it so much that if you decided to ship us one, we would be forever thankful!!

Parking lot is below the hill, but the spaces are kind of tight if people do not park perfectly. I came here because it was recommended by a friend who visited last year. My experience was not as pleasant. I made reservations long ago luckily as they did not allow walk-ins, and we were seated quickly. I ordered the bison sirloin, and my girlfriend ordered the coconut shrimp salad. The beans and carrot for the bison seemed like an afterthought and didn’t really go with the dish. The fries were salted nicely and the bison were really good. My girlfriend really liked the coconut shrimp salad and I had a bite of it as well. I have a 3 star rating because of the price they charged overall for the food and service provided. The service was pretty poor, water was refilled once, my girlfriend was thirsty and ended up drinking my water as well. Our empty glasses were on the end of the table and were visible. Waitress visited us a handful of times and remained absent for most of the time. I saw her refill water at other tables but seemed to have forgotten about us.nnI would visit other restaurants in the area as there are similarly priced restaurants that provide higher quality service.

I went here a few months ago for the first time and it was amazing. The view from the restaurant is enough to go experience. We had ordered duck wings for the table which was probably the best thing I've eaten and if you go, please get them. I ordered the Wild Game Burger which had a mix of beef, elk and bison and it was really good. I will be coming back again and I would recommend this to anyone that is in the Canmore area or who wants to take a day trip for a great place to eat!

Food was good, dug wings were great. Lots of GF options, which is great! Dip sandwich was great with GF option, so was the pizza.nnNeed to specify a table if you want to get properly seated.nnAtmosphere is good, especially if the weather is good and sunny outside.nnWe were here many times, will be back again.

If you’re looking for an awesome place to enjoy a meal with a gorgeous view, this is the place to be! Not only is the food phenomenal but the whole vibe of the restaurant adds to the beauty of life in the mountains. Our waiter was excellent and even though he was overwhelmed with the volume of patrons that he was serving, he provided us with great recommendations and ensured that our needs were met despite how busy he was. So if you’re in Canmore, make sure that the Iron Goat is on your list! You won’t be disappointed!!!
