Impressive how the store went from a small Plaza store from Thorncliffe into multiple grocery store locations.nnIt has Halal fresh meat options, household groceries, spices, bread, frozen items, fresh vegetables,dairy, fruits and the list keeps going on.nnThe staff are very polite and the store has a points system set up which is a bonus.nnVery clean and organized with aisle reference signs.nnI can't wait to go back.
Came here knowing it’s a large branded halal grocery store… finally in Ajax!nnThe place was clean although sometimes aisles or areas can be crowded when they are restockingnnEveryone there is extremely friendly. So that’s always nice.nnPrice wise - everything is just expensive! everything…. You can shop cheaper at the other local area grocery stores for veggies or common perishable food items.nnSo now only coming here for the halal meat - it’s still does get busy in the meat section at times but the wait goes quickly. Everything else not halal/specifically not Pakistani I haven’t bothered buying.nnThe meat is fresher compared to surrounding meat stores - they sell a lot so it’s constantly moving which is good.nThey do have packed bags probably 5lbs for $50 of boneless thighs or breasts if you need to pick up in bulk of one kind.nnAnother unique aspect of this place is it sells a lot of authentic Pakistani branded products. So if you are looking for something unique from pakistan come here to take a quick check - prices like usual are expensive.nnOverall a good experience. Glad there is a large store catering to the Muslim community. It can become a one stop shop since you are already there.
They have a huge selection of South Asian grocery.nI finally splurged and bought a box of 6 Pakistani mangoes for $26 at the Ajax location. They were delicious. However, 2 were completely rotten and 1 was partially. For the price they're charging they should at least go through the boxes and remove the rotten ones. Very disappointed.
Terrible customer service. If you’re not Pakistani you are treated differently and unfairly. I stepped away from the cash and told the cashier I was going to apply for their points card and to hold off on cashing me out. I’m not sure if she didn’t hear me or ignored me. When I was done signing up I went back and she proceeded to tell me to line up again at the end of the line. Meanwhile, the person she was currently cashing out had walked away from the register to pick up extra groceries and she didn’t void his order and tell him to line up again. I guess he was from the right background and I was not. I felt discriminated against. She was very rude about it. I raised my concerns with the supervisor but I’m not sure they are going to do anything about it.
Butchers are very lazy and non attentive. I asked for 3 lbs of goat shoulder and the bald guy there just denied. When I gave him the treatment he deserved for making his own rules then he agreed and gave me 3 lbs. i mean who is making rules here that freakin butcher or the owner or the way these butchers wants to be scolded to get them work properly. Please if you guys are not wanting to give half or less than one leg or shoulder why dont u write and display at a conspicuous place. I dont want that pre composed copy paste reply to contact us for resolving issue as I have already mentioned the solution.
