Really nice staff! Loving, caring and friendly! It is hard to get an appointment but for us the standby option worked out well! We’re grateful for getting our class 5 driver license right after the first attempt since our foreign documents expire after 90 days!
I had the worst experience at ICBC Abbotsford during my driving test. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the examiner’s name, but she was quite rude and seemed to be in a hurry, almost as if she was looking for reasons to fail me. Throughout the test, I ensured that I followed all the necessary procedures, including shoulder checks, signaling, lane changes, and maintaining the correct speed.nnFor the first ten minutes, she couldn’t find anything to mark against me. However, at one point, she suddenly instructed me to take a left turn immediately after a right turn. As I began accelerating, I turned my steering wheel to the left as required.nnAbout 3-4 minutes before returning to the ICBC office, she started writing on her sheet and ultimately failed me. When I questioned her about it, specifically mentioning that I had consistently performed all the required shoulder checks, she insisted that I had missed one. I firmly responded that I had done it, but she continued marking her sheet without consideration.nnThis experience was extremely disappointing, and I plan to escalate the matter by speaking with the manager.
I went to Counter 13 at ICBC just now to exchange my driver’s license. I’m very grateful to the lady at Counter 13 who assisted me—she was warm, professional, and helpful. At the end, she also warmly welcomed me to BC, which made me feel truly touched. I sincerely appreciate her assistance!
White lady with glasses mid 30s at check in counter close to front door at 3:30pm today January 8 was so Incredibly disrespectful to myself and my wife. We came in for a simple name /address change.nnWe tried to ask simple questions calmly and she started raising her voice and speaking extremely aggressively. We did not at all act rude or aggressive whatsoever. Totally uncalled for. This individual lacks the mental capacity and patience to work a government job.nnI am very disappointed that someone would act in that manner. I hope this was not because of my race.
Did my test perfect and was told I was an amazing driver but was failed because the old man with white hair was rude the entire time to me and then said I failed instantly because someone slammed on their brakes for a J walker and I was told if I was speeding I would’ve rear ended him…. I was going 15 km an hour. Seems like I was the victim of some Me making their quota.
