A very helpful Sherriff explained the court appearance system, found the name of the legal counsel assigned, and was very reassuring. This made a huge difference for my comfort level; he just happened to be in the hallway, I stopped him with questions and he was very patient and understanding. Sorry, I didn't get his name, but he deserves to be thanked.nnIn case no one mentioned times: if you are told 9:30 am it just means the case will be in the morning. Or 2:30 - will be in the afternoon. You just sit and wait - they don't go through the cases in any order, just comes up whenever.

Quite Literally, MCFD & FVACFS has full control over the provincial court system.. Provincial court judges fully allow social workers to make all decisions, the judges refuse to even do their own investigation in any case. The judges continue to claim they have no jurisdiction over mcfd and fvacfs.nnHow is this possible or legal. They are allowing wrongful removals and separation of innocent families simply because judges have become lazy and solely dependent on social workers decisions. Many times the judges refuse to even hear the families whose lives are being destroyed.nnProvincial judges are breaking charter of rights on many families. And many other human rights are being denied and rejected causing prolonged and serious life long damage to innocent victims of mcfd and fvacfs.nnJudges in British Columbia need to be investigated. Stop allowing social services to run our court system. There's no use for courts and judges if they're just gonna sit back while social workers run the show.nnFamilies and children suffer for years of forced delays and internal harassment and abuse of the provincial court system. Families constantly being ignored and denied to be heard, denied their rights to fair trial in timely manner. All the rights of the people are being breached, broken and denied.nnJudges refuse to make their own judgment and orders. They rely solely on social services to make all decisions fair and unfair. Regardless of the amount of laws being broken rights being broken and families being destroyed.nnLegal aid lawyers comply to the demands of social services fully also, denying families their actual rights to representation. Allowing prolonged child abuse .nnThese so called government professionals are literally using the court systems as weapons and paychecks. Cases continue to go unresolved until it's far to late after years upon years of endless fighting for nothing but forced delays and 5 min court appearances to adjourn once again. Refusing and denying families their rights to closure and resolution. While poor innocent children suffer and grieve the loss of parents who are literally fighting daily for their lives nd families through endless internal abuse .nnWhen social services literally refuse to provide services for families and keep their children in care, without legal court orders and years past a childs legal time in care and lawyers and judges alike just bend over and comply to social services knowing full well children and families are being abused neglected and weaponized and are suffering greatly .nnI have audio recoding of the judge ruling my sons return olan to be submitted by February 24 and since his order on feb 3rd social workers have cut off all communication between me and them, they have cut off all court ordered visitation. And have literally refused to follow the judges ruling to provide mediation and a plan to return and just get away with it. Wow! What an incredible new venue. Bathrooms are immaculate, the entire facility is spotless and organized. Very very impressed. Kudos to the staff that maintains this place!

I visited the Law Courts twice. Both times the security guards were very nice. The people working at the counter at small claims were also nice. The place is very new and not busy at all.
