Absolutely delicious food from the kitchen. Very good beef biltong and so many proper South African foods. Definitely try them out.
I was like a lil girl in a candy store when I entered a store I had been wanting to go to for so long.nnI felt nostalgic seeing products I had grown up using and seeing.nnMy pictures donot do justice to the variety this store offers considering everything is imported from SA. Obviously prices are high considering shipping. Some were priced outrageously high IMHO.nnThe variety of candies, cookies, sauces, drinks, tea and coffee was insane. Anyone missing these things from SA should make a trip but be prepared to pay higher prices and not what you were used to back home.nnThey have freezer section and a sit down eating place. Which we intend to try next time we go so the Bunny Chow. The steaks looks really good. Biltong was available toonnI confirmed the price with an employee as one small bottle of Indian pickle was for $16! I wanted to try but at that price - it was insane! Some of your prices are insane!nnThe staff were super friendly and helpful!nnWhen you browse the aisles you will see certain products which have been reduced considerably.nnThey all had barbecue accessories and hot pots in different sizes.nnThere is ample parking and they do accept credit cards.
Lots of bad reviews. But we enjoyed this place.nnThey struggle with stock I’m assuming because of customs and shipping, but that’s to be expected if one knows anything with exporting and importing.nnI would of liked to of seen jelly tots, nick nacks, broewors casings, more simba chips.nnThe food was delicious with the exception of the mulva. It was a 4/10 for mulva.nnPrices also are not great but again…. They are shipping this product across the pond and paying high rent. Overhead is expensive. Not their fault. I actually thought most prices were reasonable.nnThey were out of biltong and droewors when I was there, I was disappointed. The broewors was next level! Loved it.nnThe peri peri chicken is next level! Probably the best thing on the menu.nnThey deserve a 5 star as long as they keep improving. Thank you for starting and operating a South African store on the south end of the GTA.
Amazing place for authentic South African food. The old school burger was delicious. Very clean and nice staff.
All products shipped from South Africa has now cleared customs and the shelves are now fully stocked with all your favorites from home.nWait times for prepared food has improved and prices are reasonable. The chef has really captured the taste and smells of home.nI can't wait to pick up my mutton bunny tomorrow
