Hy-Vee

Went this afternoon, first time visiting a grocery store since I had foot surgery 1 1/2 months ago. They went above and beyond to help make this recovery challenge successful. My foot was bothering me at the end of the shopping. A very nice front end manager helped me get my groceries in my car and brought the electric cart back to the front doors for me. Have been using their online grocery delivery service while I have been unable to walk and this store has done a great job of picking my groceries out and delivering them as well.

Always very clean. The employees are very helpful. Thery have a large assortment of both food and non-food items readily available. The meat department has a large variety of fresh beef, pork, chicken and seafood. They will even slice your meats (roasts, pork loin) at no extra charge. The bakery is excellent along with the deli.

This is a very nice Hy-Vee, easily visible from Dodge St, with ample parking. The store is so clean and well laid out. Their cheese selection is phenomenal. They also have an Asian & Italian kitchen with fresh foods cooked up. Salad bar looks delicious. During today's shopping trip they were out of two sale items, which they happily subbed for me with like items. Cashier & bagger were both very friendly. I will be returning to this location.

I mostly love this store. But almost everytime I buy produce something gets rung up wrong. Then I have to go to the service desk and get cash for the difference after they pull out a calculator. I don't want cash. I use my credit card. I raised this issue over a year ago via survey, which apparently fell on deaf ears. Today's debacle was 99 cent a pound nectarines rung in as 2.50 peaches. Happens all the time.

I can always find what I want . The workers are very helpful and kind.
