Hwy 403-Dundas Animal Hospital is a full service animal hospital and will take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. I bought my cat here for an annual checkup + vaccine. After receiving quotes from a few places the prices here were so much more reasonable. From the initial phone call, meeting the receptionist, and meeting the doctor everything was professional and extremely courteous. The appointment did not feel rushed at all, and the doctor took his time to explain all our concerns. Furthermore, he was very attentive, and you could tell he cared for our cat and it was just not another patient. Other facilities may have fancier websites and clinics, but the service here is top notch. Highly recommended!
I have been going to Dr. Sagu at Highway 403-Dundas Animal Hospital for all my pets for the past 10 years. I initially went to him for my family pups Teddy and Princess first and second pictures, respectively and now am seeing him for my puppy Theodore third picture. There is not enough good things I can say about Highway 403-Dundas Animal Hospital and every person who works there. A special acknowledgement needs to be given to Dr. Sagu and his Vet Assistant Alyssa. Not only is this hospital's prices extremely affordable, Dr. Sagu and his entire team are the most professional, compassionate, sympathetic, kind, and honest people I have come across in this profession. Dr. Sagu and his entire team have always provided the best care for all my animals, which is why my family and I would travel all the way from Etobicoke to his hospital for his services. Even now that I am residing in the Downtown Toronto core surrounded by vet clinics I refuse to go anywhere else. My mother also continues to go to Dr. Sagu despite continuing to live in Etobicoke. I would like to share a personal story or two with you all as to why Dr. Sagu is an extraordinary vet. I always suspected Teddy had some health issues after we had got him back in 2012. After a few years and several tests Dr. Sagu determined he suffered from liver shunts, which caused his health to dwindle and ultimately lead to liver failure. He suffered from confusion, head pressing, tripping, difficulty waking up from anesthesia, etc. and Dr. Sagu explained to me that the best option for Teddy would be ensure he was on a special liver diet food and every so often to take liver supplements. After having been diagnosed with the devastating news of liver shunts, which due to being microscopic was virtually inoperable, Teddy lived 3+ years after his initial diagnosis. This was thanks to Dr. Sagu and his team's endless support and kindness. When Teddy was at the end of his life he told me there was a surgery he could undergo but that it would be over 20K and that Teddy would like pass on the operating table. He was very honest with me and I am so thankful because it helped me to make the best decision I could for Teddy. As mentioned before, Dr. Sagu is compassionate and considers everyone's circumstances when providing his medical opinion and recommendations. Another example I would like to provide was when Teddy required a urine analysis. After having taken him to another clinic in Toronto due to Dr. Sagu's offices being closed at the time, I was told they could extract Teddy's urine by inserting a needle through his stomach and through his bladder since his bladder was empty, to extract the urine forcefully. This clinic was dry and did not appear to have consideration for Teddy's wellbeing. I went to Dr. Sagu's office the next day and told him what I was told by the other clinic. He informed me that that method of urine extraction is extremely painful and that he would kindly recommend that I attempt to get the urine myself when Teddy urinated. I also felt was the best option. Again, Dr. Sagu is a sympathetic individual and truly cares about the well being of his patients. I am now taking my new puppy Theodore to Dr. Sagu and so far the experience has been nothing but amazing! I would recommend, without reservation, Highway 403-Dundas Animal Hospital to anyone who would like to receive the best possible care for their animals.
My dog had a bad skin reaction, it was red, inflamed and itchy, the office was able to see us the same day. The medication was on the premises so it was convenient and the prices were reasonable. Truly appreciate their efficient, fast and reassuring customer service. We will definitely be using this Vet as our regular vet.
My family has used this veterinarian for many years and my new dog needed to be microchiped so it was natural that I was going to use the family veterinarian. They have the most reasonable prices . The staff is extremely friendly and they were very informative. Hteat first visit with my new puppy and will be returning in the future as my preferred veterinarian. Great experience.
Rate this a star 5 because the people here actually cares about your pets, and also your pocket lol, they even give good quality treats to your puppy. None of the bad stuff so I trust them. Even the consultation, they would encourage in a very polite way but not force you to do anything you don’t want :
This place is amazing. I cannot say enough great things. After a horrible vet experience, I tried Hwy 403 and Dundas and was more than impressed. From the vet techs, to the reception and of course, the vet himself. They are kind, compassionate people. Theres no hidden charges or pushing things you dont need. They are transparent with the care and cost all while treating you and your pet with love and respect. I feel as though I cant recommend this place enough. If you want exceptional care with fair pricing this is your place.
This animal hospital is full of kind and compassionate people, but they aren’t equipped to handle more serious animal issues. Theyre much more of a clinic than a hospital. Great for vaccinations and such, but have no xray or ultrasound machine or anything and honestly cant tell the signs of more serious issues. Our dog had cancer and every time we brought him in certain blood test results were written off to fatty treats and his sudden lethargy to old age, even when we insisted something was wrong. He ended up being riddled with cancer throughout his entire body, which we found out once taking him to a more equipped vet hospital in Toronto, though there are other better equipped ones in Mississauga. These are good people, and I dont mean to trash them, but for the sake of people’s animals go somewhere more equipped to save yourself some heartbreak.
Love the care from Dr Sagu and his fellow veterinarian. They are both very compassionate, friendly and give quality care to my pet. I appreciate them for what they have done for us. Their staff are great as well. Highly recommend this clinic to every pet owner!
They are friendly clean and affordable and are there for the animals not just the money. I would highly recommend this place and there staff. I will continue to trust them with my pets needs in the future
Dr. Sagu and Alysa are caring professionals. We brought our pup here for all her care. Dr. Sagu is always kind and gentle with our pup and explains and answers all questions. We never fell rushed.
