Hurst Bakery

I hired Hurst Bakery to provide the desserts at my wedding in July. They were the easiest people to deal with. When my now husband and I sat down with Lee with my mom to discuss everything, he was so enthusiastic and creative helping us to come up with an idea for our cake we could have never imagined that was perfect for who we are as a couple. My mom likes a muffin that he agreed to make into a cake liking the challenge of doing something new. They were upfront about costs sending itemized quotes, clarified anything we questioned professionally and quickly. They were great at responding to emails. More importantly, they didn't try to oversell anything or push anything on us. The desserts were devoured with no leftovers at the wedding. I have been going to this bakery since I was a child and I continue to go now for their delicious everything!

I have done custom cakes and cookies with Hurst in the past and always loved the product and service. However lately I've felt the customer service has lacked from previous years - I've sent email inquiries that have gone unanswered, and with my latest order, had to follow up multiple times for a quote. Granted, a busy time of year, but even when I try to call my voicemails go unanswered for hours until I finally call again. I even tried to prepay for an order my father was picking up, and rather than running the card, they ended up charging him. I really like this bakery but I've been frustrated with it as of late so hopefully things get back to normal again...

Been going to Hurst Bakery for many years. Ladies behind the counter are great!! Always such a great atmosphere! But the last couple of months something has been off, maybe new management has taken over?? Seems to be a lot more snobby and rude not as friendly unless you go after 5pm

Ordered a full slab lemon-raspberry birthday cake and it was awesome - very fresh with a perfect balance of flavour, without being too sweet. Also ordered 60 hamburger buns for the party, and overheard several guests comment on how much they loved them.

The raspberry cream puffs are out of this world! Friendly staff and great selection of breads, pastries, cakes and baked goods. Lots of tea/coffee/candle gift items as well.
