Huntington Bank

I have been with this bank since I was a freshman at Oberlin College. The bank was named Lorain County Bank and the name has changed many times since I became a customer in 1979.nRecently I went into the Lorain, Oberlin/Tower Blvd. branch to deposit money with a teller, because the ATM would not work properly. Mind you, I rarely go inside unless it is for paperwork associated with CDs and such. I/we manage our accounts ele ctronically, 98.5% of the time. Long story short is, on August 2, 2024, it was near closing time, I gave teller 5 bills, she did not count my deposit, nor did she ask for a deposit slip. I simply gave her my name and the number to my account. She swept the money to side towards her drawer, gave me a receipt and I exited the building because folks were in line behind me trying to get their transactions handled. We were in line for a long time. Again, it was almost closing time. When I arrived home and looked at my receipt, it was incorrect. The bank was closed but the next morning I went to the bank as soon as it opened, to address issue. The bottom line is that after eleven days of a run around, today, I was told that there is nothing they will do about it. The manager, Amanda, advised today that they will not look at cameras for such a SMALL amount of money. Small amount-Very disrespectful I ask myself, what if I was depending on that money to pay my mortgage or bills? Even though this isn't the case with me, it's my money. If the bank overpaid me, they would not hesitate to debit my accounts accordingly. This casual accountability process is unacceptable. I am a semi-retired businessman and am diligent about managing my/our finances. I am looking to move our money on general principle alone. This oversight could have amounted to much more. To have been a long time customer, in great standing, I/we expect more. There are several employees at this location that I've known for years. They are fine people and do quality work. However, there are clearly some that are terrible in how they perform their duties. Moreover, a manager should be more effective in handling customer concerns. There is no accountability in this case. Integrity is lacking. Don't be fooled by the 1 star rating. This format will not allow me to award a zero. However, I give ZERO 0 stars for this episode. I am a 45 year customer and over the years brought my wife and young son's accounts to this bank. It WAS a great place to do business, once upon a time. I deserve and demand better....nThey seem to ne very unprofessional and cavalier in dealing with people's money. ZERO STARS 0. I repeat ZERO 0 STARS.

I've been to 5 different Huntington branches and this is definitely the worst. This location has gone to hell since Amanda became the manager. Showed up 22 minutes before closing to initiate a wire and I was told there wasn't time to do it the banker will would have initiated it was busy having a personal conversation which I overheard, nothing about banking. I immediately drove over to the Amherst branch, arrived there 9 minutes before closing and they said 'no problem '. I initiated my wire without any issues. Also when I first tried to open my accounts, the Lorain branch told me to come back another day so I immediately drove to the Amherst location and everything worked out that day as well. Don't waste your time at the Lorain branch!

Great bank and fast service. I'm always in and out quickly, I don't get any of the negative reviews.

Terrible Customer Service at this bank there was 5 people in line and I waited in line for 20 mins and then when it was my turn they Said they were too busy to open an Account for me to come back another time after I waited all that time and there was no one else in line after me at that time . They obviously just didn’t want to do it. She was rude to I would never walk in that Branch again. With all the Banks in that street they need to do better!!

The last 2 times I went to the ATM there were people a woman sitting on the ground asking for a dollar today one came up to my car leaningsaying she hasn’t ate in 3 days asking for 5$-10$. Staring at my bank card in my hand. I went down the road to a drive up ATM. Paid the fee This bank should get one. Don’t feel safe. Called bank they advised me they have a restraining on that lady. They should relocate this branch. Thinking of different options
