On a scale of bad/okay/good/great each counting for 2.5/10 I give this hotel a 1.5. I spent $110 on a Wednesday and this is what I got. Damp room/damp sheets, crickets in the shower, and maggots in the bedding. I asked the front desk agent on duty for new linens and was handed a singular sheet. This was kind of funny, but I don't come to hotels for funny I come to hotels for rest. The staff seemed nice enough, but also perhaps incompetent and/or unconcerned about their job. While this is understandable as a former employee at a hotel it is a tough industry, it is not acceptable. Oh and there was someone working behind the front desk with a shirt that said "no thanks." The hospitality industry is based on customer service I'm dead This was okay, if you're not too picky you'll get through the night just fine. But as of now you will not get value for your dollar. I expected better for that price. Use this as a last resort.

My stay was awful. Around 2:30am I heard loud noises in the hallway that sounded like kids running up & down the hall talking very loud, only to find out it was the couple in the room next door fighting. She was crying, I heard banging & then a muffled cry like someone had something over her mouth to muffle noise. Called the front desk. Manager on duty was very hard to understand, but all I kept saying is you need to call the police there's a couple next door fighting. The Holel manager knocked on the couple's door, noise stopped. The gentleman opened the door, out of breath, & the Manager threatened to call the police if the noise didn't stop. The gentleman begged for him not too. I waited about 10 minutes, to see if he would actually call, but they never showed. I packed my bags & got out of there as soon as I could, not knowing what might or could happen next. Very disappointment in how this was handled. I took care of reporting it to the police myself.

Nice for the value. They have an indoor pool and hot tub. Decent little breakfast, good coffee. I went when Dorney Park was closed, there's a Perkins next door unless you want to venture to the shopping center across Hamilton Blvd. there's a few places. Staff was great! For the value worked great for me

So many reasons first they didn’t honor the cost I was given at time of confirmation. The place was dirty as was carpeting in our room. No coffee maker ice trays or cups. Bathroom door rusted bottom. Towel rack broken Nasty old man at night shift when I asked for a blanket bc there was none in the room. Snack machine broken. He couldn’t of cared less. Coffee in lobby horrible old and cold. No sink in bathroom this was supposed to be a suite. Breakfast was a joke no fruit yogurt just toast or egos. No butter for toast! Out of it!! Toilet runs. Trash cans in hall overloaded. Old paint and carpets This place needs to be inspected. Many violations. Ohsha needs to be called. Do not go here!!!! I expect a refund! No excuse to run a hotel like this. Clearly cheap and they really don’t care!

My stay was short lived. Checking in was easy and the man at the desk was friendly and helpful, however that is where the goodness ended. I was given directions on how to find my way to my room. Upon leaving the front desk to go to my room it was complete filth. Once I found my room I could hear a loud humming sound of a fan and walked into the room to find a large industrial fan blowing on the bed skirts. A sign of bed bugs. And then the hair dryer plug looked burned and falling apart in the outlet. The wall switch covers were disgusting and the bathroom was filthy as well. The floor looks as it had not been cleaned ever. I went to the front desk to check out and was given excuses for the things I brought to their attention and was told I could not get a refund as I had checked in over an hour ago. I explained that I had gone to dinner after checking in. So needless to say no refund and had to drive over an hour to get home in this snow storm. I felt as of this hotel was not a safe place to stay. The room across the hall from me looked as of the door had been kicked in at some point. Definitely do not recommend this as a place for anyone to stay.

I do do not have one positive review to put on this site. First floor huge bleach stain on the old dirty carpet. Carpet in the room 107 is old. Smells musty. Toilet not bolted in. Burn mark in head board even though it's a non smoking room. indoor pool area is so small with dirty chairs and tables. Kids in and out of the hot tub. Even though pool sign says they don't belong in there. no towels in the pool area either.

This review gets 1 star solely based on the friendliness of the staff. The man working when we arrived was friendly and helpful and the few people we saw the morning of checkout were nice. That is where the positives of this end. Called before booking because this was a trip for my girlfriend's birthday and the only real requirement of the hotel was a working hot tub. Made sure to call the hotel 4 days before we went and I was told on the phone that the hot tub was working. That was not true. The water in the hot tub was colder than the pool. Literally everything else could have been awful and as long as we got to spend some time in the hot tub it would have been alright...but we could not, and now I will mention the bad things I would have normally overlooked. Upon arrival there was a funny scent in the lobby. Not sure what it was, couldn't place it, just unpleasant. Entered the room and realized that there were no tissues in either of the tissue holders. Went to the desk and got some. After using the bathroom, realized the toilet didn't flush. The man from the desk came up and fixed it. Room was overall...uncomfortable. I won't say dirty, but definitely dingy...just not clean feeling or smelling. Pool had lots of dead bugs in it. For the cost I paid for this hotel I could have booked nearly any 3-4 star hotel in the area without a hot tub, but booked this for the hot tub. It's only draw...and it was not working. No real surprise no one stays at HoJo anymore, loved it as a kid, this was bad.

WARNING: BEDBUGS & NON-REFUNDABLE CHARGE!!! BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! This place looks a lot better in pictures than in real life! In actuality, this establishment looks very run down and dingy. The breakfast area is literally just two or three tables and a few chairs in front of the check in window. From the outside, the doors to the rooms look like they’ve had to break into them. When we opened the door to our room, the inside appeared to have water damage from past floods, which would explain the musty smell. The entrance light didn’t work so we had to turn the bathroom light on and then walk all the way inside to turn on another light to see the room. The bathroom was in bad shape, it had a patchy repair job on the shower head where you can see gaps and paint was peeling off the walls. At first glance, the top sheets appeared to have been changed. However, the base covers were not and were covered with blood stains from bedbugs! In addition, there were elastics covered hair on the bed and floor. We immediately went to the front window and explained what we saw the room had a bedbug problem and asked if we could have a refund. The manager said that because we had used a 3rd party to book, we would have to reach out to them, or they could switch us to a room right across. Realizing the room directly across would probably be in the same condition I said I preferred to call, and he simply said okay. When I called, the booking site was prepared to give me a full refund but stated that they needed to verify the information with the hotel and put me on hold. A few minutes later they came back and said that the hotel management was going to keep a night stay as a non-refundable fee, which was equivalent to $150! When I asked the manager why he was doing that he stated that it was because he had offered a different room and I said no. It did not matter that the room was right across from where he originally planned on putting us! I informed him that I would be reviewing his hotel and letting everyone know what to expect and his response was “Okay”. He was very unbothered with the whole situation since he seems to get paid either way.

Took 20 mins to check in, the girl at the desk was on her cell phone talking, finally gets off starts the process and leaves, comes back with someone else who tells us that there is a problem with the door of the room we booked but they can move us to a different room. This was annoying but we had to get to an event. We dropped our stuff not really looking much at the room, but knowing it was not great. The carpet had multiple stains and spilled wax on the floor. The sheets are stained clearly dirty whatever... We get showers sleep leave the towels on the floor and head out the next day. When we got back and grabbed a towel we realized they had refolded the towels we had on the floor, I know this because I had gotten make up on the towel I used. There were 2 very used toilet paper rolls in our bathroom. Coffee maker very gross. Lighting is bad in the room which was probably a good thing. Nothing smelled cleaned. Usually hotel bedding has a bleach smell, I can assure you they are not cleaning these sheets.

I flew into Philadelphia airport at 12AM. Made a reservation for Nov 30th 1 day ahead honest mistake on my part. I would’ve been leaving the hotel at 5 AM approx 4 hours stay I just wanted to shower. The guy behind the counter refused to help me and told me the only option was to book a “suite” for an additional $125. I was essentially robbed by Howard Johnson for $75…I wish 0 stars was an option.
