House of Funk Brewing

Great brewery to have a few cold ones and catch up with friends. They have about 4 picnic style tables outside and wine barrels that serve as table tops as well. Typical sized interior seating space, cozy. Great selection of pours. Love the decor and reasonably priced merchandise. Crack On food truck actually cooks in house on the weekends serving up delicious handhelds.

Fabulous experience here - great beer selection and you can bet you can find a few on the funky side. Loved their sours. Nice patio situation: covered picnic tables and some barrel high tops. I don’t recall seeing a food menu, but they advertise brunch on weekends from 10a-3p and Crack On’s menu looks really good.

Amazing location to grab a pint or set of flights and kickback. Would highly recommend the selection of sours available. Decor is not your typical brewery setup and has a more picnic style vibe. Staff was helpful and offered tastings to those of us who couldn't decide.

Delicious food, great beer and an awesome atmosphere! I’m not one to stray away from normal lagers but the variety of beer at House of Funk was awesome, the Funk Juice beer was my favourite. Can’t wait to come back again!

Great space and some awesome beers. Nice that they have some food options, but both the Pan Con Tomate and the Pan Con Serrano sandwiches tasted pretty much the same and were a little high-priced for what you got - plus they were so heavy on the garlic that they blasted our palates for the rest of the beers, and that taste hung around into the next day.

Great beer and food! Oktoberfest seasonal menu was good - got the pretzel with beer mustard as well as bratwurst, would definitely recommend. Tried the cider, Valhalla, & house of funk beers. Perfect patio too!

Came here on a Sunday an hour before closing and what a perfect place to hang out as the sun goes down! This location is so cute and quiet! A little out of the city but such a perfect place to hang out, people watch by an ocean view. Their out door patio seating fits four and they have inside seating too. You see the brewery on the side which is pretty cool and their inside decor is funky! Their beer menu is 10/10 I recommend the Funk Juice & Flora!

Wanted to pop in and leave a review for the coffee side of their business - I ordered some coffee grounds off their website but it came as whole beans. It was rough times as I had gone a week without coffee and had no grinder. I messaged them and got a response right away that they were looking into it. After not hearing back for a day, I was surprised to find that they had actually already re-delivered the correct coffee personally which I really appreciated. Finally got my coffee fix and I have to say it is some of the best coffee I've brewed and for anyone who hasn't tried yet you must get some of their coffee because it really is very nice!

Since discovering HOF a few years ago I’ve been making a point to visit whenever I’m nearby. What started as a coffee stop quickly turned into beer flights and a pledge to return soon, much of that due to their Chaka series. These days my visits are directed more towards the beer, and I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed. That’s not to say their coffee isn’t great it definitely is, just that the beer is what sold me. Separately, its clear HOF makes an effort to put their best foot forward with service as well. Miranda, who has been there the last couple times I’ve been in, does a tremendous job representing the company through her fantastic knowledge of their beer and coffee, and goes out of her way to provide excellent customer service. Ultimately, HOF succeeds in its effort to produce a high, high quality product whether it be caffeine, beer or service. Highly recommended.
