Hotel Dieu Hospital

I went to the urgent care on May 26 2026 at 7:30. Door opened at 8am. 10:30 I was living the hospital. From the nurse who sorted out patients to receptionists and doctors I can say Im very happy with all of the staff. Emergency Doctor Michael Hale was very proffesional great bed side manners and did what my family doctor never did by giving propper advice nd prescription plus a referral to prioritize an apt with a specialist! This is absolutely the most caring and kind hospital I've ever been to. The staff and Dr Beyea are incredibly kind.nnCommunication with my family during my surgery was excellent. We were quite surprised at the level of care.nnThe staff could not have been nicer. Everyone I dealt with treated me like a friendnnA+++

Horrible. Canadian Health Care crisis well reflected in our today’s experience, more than 7 hours waiting for emergency, no words to express and unacceptable. Healthcare is in crisis but I guess overall Doctors are taking their time to make more tortures the experience.

Staff are excellent. A very clean environment. I've been dealing with eye clinic over a year. Dr Gonder and his team make every visit pleasant and enjoyable. They are courteous and supportive. Ive seen Dr Bona two times as well and what an amazing doctor and team. The hospital has great parking in the garage or on the street. There is an excellent cafe which will surprise you. This is a well run hospital.

I visited the hospital yesterday due to severe back and leg pain that I have been dealing with for several years. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.nI waited for approximately 7–8 hours without anyone checking on my condition or providing any clear timeframe for when I would be seen. The lack of communication made an already difficult situation more stressful.nWhen I informed the staff that my pain level was 10/10, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously and the response I received felt judgmental. Pain is a personal experience, and patients should feel heard, respected, and supported when seeking medical care.nIn the end, I was not treated and had to leave without receiving any medical care, as my pain was getting worse and it became extremely difficult to continue sitting there in such severe discomfort.nI hope the hospital can improve patient communication, wait time transparency, and compassion in care so others do not have a similar experience.
