Can't say enough about my experience at Canoe! For starters the hotel is extremely clean and modern but compliments the nature surrounding it so nicely. The amenities are incredible, the hot tub was a delight as you get to see mountains surrounding you and we also received a complimentary 3day Roam bus pass.nStaying at the hotel you get discounts to all nearby restaurants and the beautiful cafe downstairs. We were celebrating our anniversary and the staff made us a card with all of their names and on top of that we got delicious cupcakes and an additional voucher at the cafe!nTruthfully, one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had and I will be back soon!
Spacious rooms with easy access to hot pools, parking & lobby. We slept great after skiing all day- beds were comfy & rooms were quiet with black out blinds. The coffee & tea were a nice touch as well. Will definitely come back.nnIf I were to change/add anything it would be to have some cutlery in the room and a rack to dry out ski clothes. Otherwise, it's a great set up for a ski trip with family or friends.
Amazing mountain ranges view in our King rooftop room! Truly Breathtaking! All staff and cleaners were very nice and helpful to their visitors. Lots of parking surrounding the hotel, and also a heated space on a first come basis. The outdoor hot pool and sauna were a great addition to our weekend getaway. The room is quite spacious for a family of three. Their coffee/tea is supplied by the hotel cafe/restaurant: Sudden Sally. They even have a Chemex-pour, which is way better than a conventional coffee maker/Keurig. The check-in was fast. While you can do the check-out online so you don’t have to come back to the lobby! It’s our anniversary weekend and the staff surprised us by putting a cake and card in our room. The hotel is situated in the quiet side of West Banff, but still on the main avenue with close access to groceries, restaurants, A&W, and a bus stop for the ski resort. This will definitely our go-to hotel in Banff from now on.
I don’t often write reviews but was so blown away I wanted to give credit where it was due. Stayed here earlier this month during my first ever visit to Banff. The service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere was incredible. The room was so nice, mountain views were spectacular and having a fireplace in our room was a big plus! The staff was so welcoming and helpful in making recommendations for restaurants, hikes, etc. I hope to return soon to Banff and refuse to stay anywhere else. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
Hotel Canoe & Suites is a charming place to stay! The check-in process was smooth, and I loved the thoughtful touch of providing coffee and milk for the next morning—it’s very cute. The hot bath was excellent, and while the sauna was decent, it could be better maintained and hotter. The location is convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the WiFi is unreliable and doesn’t have great coverage, but overall, it was a great experience. Would stay here again!
