Hotel Baie-Saint-Paul

Hôtel Baie Saint Paul was okay overall, but my stay began on an odd note. Upon check-in, the staff member gave me a lecture about breakfast not being free and said that had I booked directly instead of “through Expedia,” I would’ve received it complimentary. The funny part is, I didn’t book through Expedia—I used my Capital One travel portal to take advantage of my annual $300 travel credit. Maybe that site uses Expedia behind the scenes, but the tone was unnecessarily condescending.nnThe breakfast itself wasn’t great and definitely not worth paying extra for—very basic with limited options and nothing particularly fresh. The staff, aside from the initial encounter, were not especially friendly or welcoming. If I had been staying more than one night, I would’ve gone elsewhere for breakfast.nnOn the positive side, the EV charger on-site worked perfectly. It wasn’t free, but it was easy enough to use once I downloaded the required app, and at $1.50 per hour it was reasonably priced. Overall, functional for a short stay, but the experience lacked warmth and polish.

Rooms are comfy and clean but smelled of chlorine when coming in. Their EV charger is geotagged incorrectly correct name, wrong place. Pricey for what it is but ok for a quick stop.

Spent 4 nights there due to a ski trip at Le Massif. Hotel is updated and clean. Staff are extremely friendly and English is not a problem. Breakfast was included and it was a full meal and very delicious. A huge shout out to the ladies working there and their amazing coffee. Great location close to town and the ski hill. Easy access to bars and restaurants.

Great place with a very solid combination of Hotel with restaurant attached. Breakfast was delicious, as we both chose the Omelette Fromage et Jambon. Service was great in both. Even though my French is almost non-existent, we loved the overall service. Return in the future:: DefinitelynnP.S. We had dinner and were stunned with the ample portions.nnSpecial shout out to their Manager Luke.

We used to love this hotel. Our family stayed many times over the past 20 years, but it is not what it used to be. The attached restaurant and their friendly staff continue to be the only real benefit of staying at this hotel. We only stayed for five nights this year and there was no service whatsoever to the two rooms we stayed in, even after multiple requests. We had to bring dirty towels, full garbage bins, etc. to the front desk ourselves and request, item by item, the things we needed replaced, which we then picked up at the front desk. All this while the hotel was at most 20% occupied. It is a shame to see a place that holds so many good memories become our last choice of places to stay in BSP. We love visiting this region, but this will be our last time at the Hotel BSP.
