Hotel Baie-Saint-Paul

Spent 4 nights there due to a ski trip at Le Massif. Hotel is updated and clean. Staff are extremely friendly and English is not a problem. Breakfast was included and it was a full meal and very delicious. A huge shout out to the ladies working there and their amazing coffee. Great location close to town and the ski hill. Easy access to bars and restaurants.

We used to love this hotel. Our family stayed many times over the past 20 years, but it is not what it used to be. The attached restaurant and their friendly staff continue to be the only real benefit of staying at this hotel. We only stayed for five nights this year and there was no service whatsoever to the two rooms we stayed in, even after multiple requests. We had to bring dirty towels, full garbage bins, etc. to the front desk ourselves and request, item by item, the things we needed replaced, which we then picked up at the front desk. All this while the hotel was at most 20% occupied. It is a shame to see a place that holds so many good memories become our last choice of places to stay in BSP. We love visiting this region, but this will be our last time at the Hotel BSP.

The desk service at night not so serviceable, the room cleaned but no indication on/off for the switch for the fridge, just one electric oulet on the wall at the heaad of the beds for charging electronic devices, coffe maker broken and two capsules for 2 guests for 2 days, bath towels too used. Too expensive for what I described.

My friend and stayed in seperate roomes. The stinky smell of perhaps a cleaning product made us both have allergic type reactions that would start 5 min in the room: runny nose, tickle in throat then a cough, and after a few hours burning eyes. My ground floor screen door had a broken lock. No staff to be found for any assistance, most of evening. Although when we checked in 4pm a very pleasant receptionist helped us book tickets and gave us info. Not easy to walk to services/ attractions but only a few minutes drive to many places of interest.

The rooms were a good size. There was some confusion with our dog and the manager told us we didn’t book the correct room for our pet even though we put in the comments we were bringing a dog and told the desk when we checked in. So if you’re bringing a pet make sure to call first. Unfortunately our room never got cleaned, we did have do not disturb because of the dog for 2 days but removed that on the third day but unfortunately the room was missed. Still 4 stars for the value.
