Hôtel & Spa Le Germain Charlevoix

They are a little confused…nWhen i arrived i waited 10-15 minutes to check-in and there was only one person in front of me. The room was nice but every evening when i returned after dinner it smelled like a burning fireplace, but there are no fireplace in the room? Must of been from the restaurant and there is a leak somewhere? Also there was this amazing maple syrup with hot spices that you could put with your pizza at the restaurant. I asked if I could buy a couple of bottles. They told me that I could buy it at the reception. The morning that I checked out, I asked to buy a few bottles and the front desk told me that I could only buy at the restaurant and obviously it was closed that morning. I told them that the restaurant told me to buy at the reception. Obviously they are confused and don’t speak to each other. Also they claim on their website that they have 4 free EV chargers for Tesla and others. 2 of them are for Porsche and they are not compatible with Tesla even with the adapter and from the 2 others, only one was working with Tesla although they had a sign saying that they don’t recommend to charge a Tesla. But the restaurants are great, please see my separate review with 5 stars for the restaurant.

Merci Abdek pour l’excellent service ! Everything at the front door main building with Abdek was great! 11/10nnWill note however that it’s slightly odd that you have to drive to your room, don’t have any door service and have to walk your bag up to your room. No elevators in certain buildings. Plus restaurant leaves much to be desired. Pizza was yummy, other items not so much.

Magical place every time, first time in winter though for us. It exceeded our expectations, it looks like a Christmas wonderland, we will be back in December again for sure. We only could stay one night as we had to go on to our next destination. Food exceptional as well and great cocktails ! Will definitely come back.

Comfortable elegance in a winter wonderland. Great decor, Nordic plunge baths and sauna, world class dining and great more casual restaurant on site, near fantastic skiing, short walk to charming town with restaurants and galleries. Perfect place to ring in the New Year.nnGreat value. Third time we’ve come over the holidays.
