Arrived by ambulance after accident at baseball diamond in Pincourt. 2 female ambulance paramedics were simply amazing. Upon arrival had to wait a bit, as a huge pile up om the 30 filled the waiting room.nOnce seen we waited approx. 45 min. to be placed in emergency room. There our nurse took care of us and made sure we were aware of the procedure. Appreciated he asked English or French. Tried my best French and he responded with a smile and correction whenever I made one of many errors. Eventually Dr, Rondeau came to assess me. She was very calm, focused on my situation and made me feel comfortable. said they needed a scan to verify no internal bleeding in head or spinal column. Said it would take awhile due to the afore mentioned accident. After 50 min we were called up to get my scan.nAttendant was a cheerful man who was professional and again made me feel relaxed and calm. Returned to room after scan. About 45 min. later, Dr. Rondeau returned to say scan was negative and we could leave. Prescribed medication and relaxation. Feeling much better today.nWanted to give a shout out and thanks to: Nurse Victor, Lorie, and Rafael for their obvious calmness, dedication and general ability to make you feel relaxed. Also big thank you to Dr. Rondeau. Her bedside manner and ability to explain things in clear and concise manner made me feel relaxed and unstressed. All in all my experience , given the situation, was a favorable one and I left feeling much better than when I arrived.nAgain thanks to all the afore mentioned staff members who if they weren't so dedicated to we patients we would all be so much worse off.
My son came in by ambulance , he had an allergic reaction to a sting. Needed a EpiPen shot to help with reaction. The ambulance drivers did everything right. Once at the hospital he was seen upon arrival and then never again. Waited 7 hours, no one ever came to see how he was doing, not once! When I asked how long until someone could come to reevaluate him, they said they were short staffed and couldn’t tell me. We just left because no one could bother to come and see us.
Worst emergency room. My husband was in pain and he didnt speak french. He was asked to step out the waiting aread knowing the fact he was on10/10 pain scale. He vomitted in the washroom and the nurse was aware but she ignored it. He was asked if he wanted a tylenol to relief the pain. very BS to think that it wasnt gonna help him.
The nurses deserve five stars here. Warm, caring and attentive. The doctors lack a serious amount of experience. The news of impending death was delivered without a bit of empathy. I'm so sad my family had this experience here.
Worst hospital experience I’ve ever had. I was told by a work-provided nurse to go to the ER after suffering from gastro symptoms for 5 days - took 9hrs to be seen by a doctor and accompanying nurse who were rude and dismissive. No prescription, a lot of contempt, and a medical note for one additional day off instead of the two I requested for nausea and constipation, saying I “should” feel better enough to move for 10hrs on my feet in a high-pace environment.
