HopCat - Kalamazoo

Service is awesome. Food is awesome. Beer selection is awesome. Super happy everytime I visit. We had a person in our party get some soggy fried fish and the management replaced it with a different menu item and payed for that guests meal. I go to HopCat every chance I get.

We visited HopCat recently with a small group. The location was originally a train depot and has lots of character. The Crack Fries were as good as we were hoping. In fact, HopCat's Crack Fries we're probably responsible for the great Irish potato famine of the 1840's. They also have a large selection of adult beverages. The team of wait staff was friendly and helpful.

Good service, very good food and a great selection of beer. They had a very long wait on the oberon release date but we were told it was open seating at the bar. The bartenders were great and the lady helping us made sure people weren’t spreading out so we could fit more people. I wish I remembered her name but she was an awesome help. They have a ton of seating and a large patio in the summer time. Would definitely recommend this place.

I ate here over a year ago with a friend and had great food and service so I have been raving about it to my husband. My second experience was very disappointing in comparison. The beer selection was excellent, the crack fries were luke warm and soggy, and the service was super slow. We visited late afternoon on a weekday when they were not busy so we were disappointed that the food and service were not better. We live in Battle Creek but were in Kalamazoo for another event so we ate here. IMO its not worth the drive just to dine here.

The food was awesome! They have nice indoor and outdoor seating. Our waitress was super friendly, attentive and fast. No complaints!
