Home Hardware Building Centre - Cranbrook

A good size Home Hardware with lots of stock, and some good sales. A few times now I've been there, and though the staff is nice, they're not very helpful, and not very accommodating! I probably won't go there very many more times, as I don't usually leave with all that good of a feeling about it! And I have left this particular Home Hardware store many times, without actually buying anything, because it's just blah!

My husband and I visited the Cranbrook HH Location to inquire about purchasing an exterior door. Jason was very helpful, he took the time to go over the door options, offer his expert advice on the benefits of the different door choices and provided us with several quotes. After visiting the HH we then visited 2 other stores in the area who provide the same products but we did not receive even close to the same level of customer service. Based on our interaction with Jason we have chosen to make our purchase with the HH Cranbrook location. We want to thank Jason for taking the time to work with us and not brush us off to a website.

Pulled in just before closing and while many staff offered to help me find what I was after not once did anyone make me feel rushed or that I was an inconvenience. I was sure to wrap up before 6pm though. Also want to say a huge THANK YOU to allowing us to overnight in our RV in your lot for the night. Especially enjoyed your Welcome signs in the sea of NO signs in the plaza. We purchased $30 worth of sandpaper for a project to help support your establishment specifically and the local economy of Cranbrook. Thank you!

Allows RVs and Trucks to stay overnight from 6pm to 8am. Have stayed here on multiple occasions, always a few RVs and trucks which always feels like a safer stay. Very quiet traffic noise at night and no cars or people walking around at night. Thanks to Home Hardware for the easy stay on the pass through Cranbrook.

I probably would have given 5 stars but I have one big issue that has stopped me for shopping there anymore. They don't seem to care very much for the safety of their customers. Advertising that they didn't care if you wore a mask before any mandates were lifted. Great store great products and good customer service is the reason for 3 stars.

BUYER BEWARE Prices posted are NOT what the till charges!! Even after pointing out the error to staff, I was given the 'oh well, what do you do....' It's plainly obvious to anybody with these two pictures, this is the EXACT item listed on the sticker showing $23.49, not 'misplaced in the wrong pocket' or 'somebody must have changed the stickers on the wood around'. The numbers on the receipt match the sticker. This is charge more than the listed price and hopefully it slides, and a 58% surcharge up to $37.33 to boot!! The prices here have always been a bit high, but you'd like to support the local outfit in tougher times. I left disappointed and feeling like this was my fault somehow.

Always a pleasant experience. Around this time of year end of November-ish, there is a awesome Christmas section setup. Tree decorations and other Christmas decor as well as holiday coffee mugs and different kinds of hot chocolate. There's also really cool stuff they have for gift ideas for kids and adults.

In the land of large empty parking lots, it is refreshing to find ONE business that allows exhausted visitors to park overnight...as a solo female traveller who passes through towns on and off, I deeply appreciate this gesture of kindness... note to self : shop @ home hardware :
