Fun brunch location! Lively, fun and busy diner-esque atmosphere. Bottomless coffee was great. Diverse menu options --all looked very enticing. Everything from breakfast to dinner options , sweet to savory and everything in-between. Easy to find something for everyone/with all food preferences. The food tasted good and was prepared with quality ingredients. The server was fair, she easily was distracted/less attentive than ideal however it was the brunch rush, so it can be mildly understandable. Overall great restaurant and can't wait to go back to try other menu options.
I had not been to this Pannoekoeken in a few years, since they moved. Love the new location! Very open, bright and decorated with a Holland theme. A short walk from the main Mayo Clinic Campus. Extensive and varied menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We, of course, came for the Pannekoeken! They were delicious! Our server, Patty, was wonderful! Definitely returning when we are back in Rochester! Oh! Don't forget to grab some of their delicious muffins to go when you leave! Parking: The restaurant is in a small mini-mall type building with ample off street parking on the east side of Broadway. The restaurant is in the north end of the mini-mall.
No reservations allowed so has to wait about 30 minutes for seating at the bar after being advised we’d had to wait for 10 minutes. The pannekoeken and the pancakes were amazing, so was the rum syrup. We had the steak and egg but unfortunately the steak was kind of hard to eat. This is obviously no steak house however, I could not finish the steak, my boyfriend ate it though. The owner was super friendly and talkative, all servers were fast and friendly. The decor is not that welcoming.
Our visit to this cute little breakfast place was amazing! The famous pannekoeken is definitely a must, but the rest of their food was delicious also. Our server Carmen was magnificent! She was by far the best pannekoeken runner. She made us want to order another just with her “pannekoeken!!” run! Loved this little place! If you’re visiting from out of town — highly recommend!
Great breakfast! Hasbrowns were crispy, golden and buttery on the outside, and soft on the inside. Toast was buttered vs dry. Omelettes were outstanding! Eggs still fluffy vs browned, melted cheese and they had a perfect cheese to filling ratio. People were friendly and attentive. We waited probably 30 min for a table, but I would wait again for a breakfast like that.
A favorite for breakfast in Rochester. I'm a big fan of the blueberry Pannekoeken. They are just so delicious!Their omelets and skillets are also very good. My husband loves their steak and eggs. Great coffee and the staff is very pleasant and prompt, even when the place is packed.
I ate here twice during my week-long visit - what a fantastic place! I love the vibe and the food. For first timers or out of towners, when you first enter, there's a counter for bakery items to go. Walk past that to the check-in podium for the restaurant. I thought the whole crowd was waiting for the restaurant but it was just the shop part. I was solo dining both times so I ate at the bar with minimal wait times. If you have a big group and come on a weekend morning, prepare for a bit of a wait. There are fun signs all over and the wait staff are very on top of things and chipper. I never met anyone who didn't seem unhappy to be working there, it seems like a good workplace atmosphere and I sat facing the kitchen both times. I love how the servers sing a little pannekoeken song whenever they bring one out - it made me smile every time! I had the original apple pannekoeken on my first visit with a side of mettwurst sausage which was HUGE and it was all very good. But I loved more the staff favorite Dutch Skillet with potatoes, veggies, eggs, meat, and hollandaise sauce all together. It is VERY good. And it comes with your choice of bread, which I got a muffin to enjoy later. If I were coming with a group, I think it would be fun to choose from the savory dishes then split a pannekoeken between everyone. Then save those muffins for second breakfast. And for what you get, the prices are pretty reasonable. My bill was around $20 both times.
This was a very unique experience, and not being familiar with Dutch food, a wonderful surprise. The service staff was friendly even though they were busy. The Pannekoeken was blissful. I had Apple Raisin!!! Try it! It won't disappoint. My partner had Eggs Holandaise, he enjoyed it also. We made the short walk from Mayo.Food: 5/5
This place is so cute and cozy. The atmosphere felt friendly and warm. Everything was presented in a nice way, and the mason jar glasses were the cutest! The food was absolutely amazing. I loved coming here, and I would absolutely go back again!
A very cute place for breakfast/brunch in Rochester. A great vibe with very nice staff. Never had a pannekoeken before and it was pretty tasty. It must be a tradition for them to run it out of the kitchen yelling or singing pannekoeken!! once your order is up. Didn’t skimp on the chocolate chips either! Looked like fresh squeezed OJ which I should have ordered after I saw the machine. Also a fresh made bakery too for to go snacks!
