Holiday Inn Vancouver Airport- Richmond

My parents stay here regularly. Everyone here is amazing. Especially Michelle. She is always so happy and goes beyond and above just the front desk position. She is always making sure my parents are okay, greets all us children and grand children with so much positivity. She’s always ready to help. She researched hotels for me in a different province due to an emergency and is on hand to help me book once I have to go. She is excellent at her job and always makes us feel welcomed. She deserves to be recognized for her outstanding customer service and support.

We needed to be at the airport very early so we came from the lower mainland the day before and stayed at the Holiday Inn on Cambie Road. I could not believe how expensive the room was. I know it's peak season, but robbery costs a star. Check in was complicated and took much too long to find our name. I had to let them swipe my credit card more on that later in order to get the key. The room was small, and the bed was small, but it was squeaky clean. The gym/laundry room was smelly. The view from our room was abysmal of course they can't all be beautiful. We were checking out before the Fogg & Suds opened for breakfast, but the manager put together a nice take away breakfast for us. Bravo! When I checked my credit card balance, I noticed a $50 charge. There had been no explanation of that, and I was obliged to write to find out what it was for. Apparently, they reckon they can do this in case I used too much ice or something. There is no mini bar. So, that cost a star. If the prices drop, I might try them again. I don't think it is worth it now.

Great place to stay with the Fogg n Suds downstairs. The staff is awesome. There is free EV charging available. The best part is they're pet friendly. We had two puppies we brought with us and we're very well behaved. Thank you Holiday Inn for being pet friendly.

Very clean and spacious room, one star lost for price - very expensive. Huge flat screen with lots of channels and great WiFi. No continental breakfast but there is a McDonals across the parking lot. The beds were very comfortable and the AC, while a bit loud, worked very well. Did I mention how clean the rooms were?!Rooms: 5/5

A great little hotel that provides a shuttle service from YVR like most do, but it's still nice and is located approximately 10 to 15minutes from the airport. Checking in was easy and fast. The room was super comfortable and relatively quiet, with the only drawback being the ice machine in the corridor that seemed to be extra noisy. As the room I was staying was located across from it, the noise level was such that I had to go and give the machine a shake. There's a typical north american restaurant chain on the premises and despite its bar vibes, I was surprised by the decent quality of its food. A small but functional gym room is also on the premises and the only thing 'missing' would be a spa and pool. If you're on foot there's not much in the area, but public transportation is easily accessible. The check out process was super easy and painless, and the hotel provides a storage for luggage.
