Holiday Inn Club Vacations Fox River Resort

I won a trip to this resort through work. Before heading down, I called ahead to learn more about it. The customer service was great and provided some ideas for myself and my family. We arrived here at about 11pm (was an 8 hour drive) and they still got us checked in. There was a deposit required that I didn’t know about previously but wasn’t surprised either. This is pretty common practice among hotels. The room itself was beautiful, full kitchen and two bathrooms with two bedrooms. One of the drawers looked like a pipe had leaked into it and the towels were stained and smelled bad. So we contacted the front desk and they sent someone immediately. We were there for a week and enjoyed our family time. The only negative part was due to some people staying across from us. They were up very late playing loud music and talking extremely loudly from 11pm til almost 2am. I’m not sure of the policy on that but other than that it was great!

Lots of family activities available...you make it what you plan for: board game exchange, group tennis, mini and regular golf, swimming, paddle boats, etc. Complimentary laundry facility available..bring your own soap, and ice cream!. If you like quiet and simplicity, this place is for you. Beautiful sunrises and plenty of birds to listen too. There are some steep hills if walking is a difficulty, but you can drive to most places.

We stayed in building M room 133 the Wi-Fi sucked and didn't connect so we couldn't make any calls on the cell phones, called the front desk and they said they were going to send maintenance out then called back and said I could call their server people... No that's their job. But if you like the technology being cut off and family time then this is the place to go and get away. They need more restaurants and maybe a store nearby but rooms are fine and space is fine. We stayed in a lodge lockout room.

This resort is kid friendly & have lots of activities for children. Friendly & helpful staff. The room was clean, updated & very spacious. I'm giving 4 stars because there's no gym.

Great place. Been going since I was a little kid. Nice family vacation spot with activities all around such as a water park, swimming pool, golf, other sports, horseback riding, go karts, and alot more.
