Be sure to place an order because the cakes sell out fast. This Japanese style cakes are delicate, fluffy and not too sweet. Will be back again to try other flavors. Also, they have reserved parking for Hiroki.
I buy my cakes from here for special occasions and they are always perfect! Their tiramisu is amazing and I’ve tried a LOT of tiramisus! Recently I ordered a cake for a baby shower. Everybody loved it. It’s on the pricier side for cakes I would say but worth it. I ordered the day before and they had it ready to go the next morning without issue. It seems that a lot of bakeries in Seattle need weeks notice which is crazy. What I love about Asian bakeries in general is that it’s never too sweet and much lighter than other cakes. I love this spot and can’t say enough good things about it!
Great Japanese Bakery. It is next door to my physical therapist. So dangerous….. I tried probably half of cake selections that they offer so far. My favorites are chestnuts cake, Almond cake and basque cake. I am not a cheese cake person, so I can’t speak about it much. There are some indoor and outdoor seating. They also offer drinks like coffee and teas. Dedicated parking space available.
Oh my gosh the cakes are heavenly! I ordered three different cake slices and each one was so good. I had three servings of coffee in one day to have an excuse to eat the cakes I like my coffee with cake . The cakes are beautiful to look at and scrumptious to eat. They make perfect gifts for friends and family order four different slices and tie on a nice ribbon over the white carrying box = perfect gift, and awesome treat to yourself after a 4 mile walk around Greenlake Ample parking available if you decide to skip the exercise and head straight to rewarding yourself. Seating indoors is currently unavailable but you might get luck and be able to snag one of the two bistro tables set up outside. Highly recommended!
This was really quite good. I would even go so far as to say I prefer their souffle cheesecake to a regular one. For the size that's offered I think it's slightly overpriced, but it was great with iced coffee.
My first time there. The store and selections are small but there's ample parking. I got they are about $6.75 each the green tea cheesecake, honey mango cheesecake the one w/ the swirls in the photo and the soufflé cheesecake. In terms of sweetness, IMO, the soufflé has the least followed by the matcha/green tea and the honey mango being the sweetest probably due to honey and sugar contents. However, compared to French or American desserts, they're just about the right sweetness but I like the soufflé one since it's not too sweet I found the honey mango too sweet still for my taste. I will try other things next time that I'm in Ballard area.
Cute little cake shop in Ravenna; I've enjoyed every single cake I've ordered from this place! I wish there was a way for me to have a specific thing I crave custard available often. It either sold out quickly or maybe the menu rotates so I rarely see it when I come in. But when I do-- it's the richest most wonderful pudding in a cup.
I love this small café. Very Japanese/European style of desserts - not too sweet and very delicate. Biggest issue for me is every time I go, I want to just buy everything in the shop:
Update: Tried the chocolate cake and it was impeccable!!!! The best chocolate cake I have ever had. Also tried basque, classic New York, tiramisu, all of which were good, but the chocolate one takes the cake! ; ————————————— Really delicious and unique tasting cheesecakes! My favorite was the honey mango cheesecake. It's extremely light and fluffy and unlike any other western cheesecakes I have tried. It's pretty pricey at about $6 a piece. I would try it for the novelty, but not something I would return for again and again.
Heard this could be the best Asian style cake in town. Soft in texture and less sweet Love the soufflé cheesecake the most. Everything else was delicious also! Sadly they ran out of the famous mocha melaleuca when I visited. Would love to come back for that!
