Been with Hindson for 2 years. Service department does work when you just ask for a quote then sends you a bill demanding payment when they havent answered any emails about the quote. They only email or call if they want your money and never respond to anything else. Overall if it wasn’t for the poor customer service I would have rated it higher cause of the location.

We stayed here recently on our boat and although the staff were helpful and the facilities nice, I was hugely disappointed that they didn’t offer recycling or compost services at the marina. It doesn’t take a lot to have recycle and compost bins beside the garbage bins and we all need to start doing more to help our environment. I hope if I visit next year I will see some changes or I won’t be back.

Really amazing customer service. I had my boat destroyed in a storm and the support I received from Hindson’s Marina made the experience way less lainful than it could have been! Kelly, Greg, and Brian and the office staff were all amazing to deal.

Cool staff, clean washrooms. I don't have a boat there, only visiting a friend so I can't say much about their boat related services.

Though I found most of the staff quite kind and respectful, I did not generally enjoy my interaction with management or his service department. I appreciate that they're overworked, to say the least, but prompt replies to my queries left much to be desired. And billing errors were prevalent. I chose to keep my vessel on-site in heated storage for the winter, but they crammed all the boats together, sometimes over-lapping each other. And by spring, my boat was filthy. Also, because they over-charged for a small task 2.25 hours instead of the 45 minutes it actually took to do this job, I chose to not have them perform the several upgrades I'd planned while in storage. I had hired their on-site body man to perform some minor gelcoat repairs over the winter, but he never replied to my update request, nor as it turned out, did he do any of the work discussed. Generally, I found the grounds very dirty and unkempt, the docks in rough condition, except where, to their credit, they began to slowly upgrade the surfaces and cleats. And unless you pay a premium for reserved status, parking is atrocious. Sometimes, a slip-holder must even park on the road, or at least a major hike to the slip. Because there's no solid break-water, the water can sometimes get a little choppy. All in all, as I said, many of the staff were wonderful including those that quit under mysterious circumstances, but I cannot give this facility a high score.

Amazing friendly service. Very quick to attend to customer needs. Fuel Dock staff are super friendly. Service department quick efficient and affordable. On-site serviced washrooms/showers very well kept. Nice kids playground and onsite pool.

This place does not live up to thier agreements. I had an agreement to pay my slip fees over a period of time because the sale of my boat fell through at the last minute. I held up end of the deal and they pulled my boat out of the water anyway saying I had not paid in 3 weeks. My agreement was to pay monthly. This place can not be trusted! Now they are charging me $294.62 to haul the boat out plus $95 for a tow. They called me twice and left no message and once with a message before doing this. Shady at best! Later, when I called them back to discuss the issue, they would not let me speak so they definitely did not listen, and then they hung up on me. Fantastic service here at Hindson!

Ian in service and parts is unreal to deal with. Super friendly staff here @ Hindson Marina. They fixed a boat part for me that had me quite perplexed. Time was spent on it & they went above and beyond. The bill; you ask....almost embarrassing low. Highly, highly recommended for your patronage folks. Dave in Sault Ste Marie...

I would give them 0 stars if I could. We purchased a boat that was stored there for the winter included in the previous owners slip fees. We purchased the boat earlier in the year. The previous owner told them and we also told them on numerous occasions we would be moving it to a different marina and would move it as soon as we could get access to it as it was buried behind several rows. Pandemic happens. Again, we keep them in the loop. Marina opens a few weeks ago, we request on MULTIPLE occasions when we can get access to the boat, more delays delays delays. Then we organize a shipper, the day of they turn around and demand storage fees which was NEVER mentioned or agreed upon. Also we have no choice for it being there because it is buried behind rows and rows of boats. The shipper goes to pick it up and they don't even know our names. They claim they tried to contact us for payment not true. They are so disorganized and fradulent. We had no choice but to pay or else the shipper that we pre-paid would not be able to get to our boat. So we pay. The shipper goes and they still had not even moved boats in front of ours causing MORE fees and MORE delays. I am disgusted a marina would treat people this way during a pandemic of all times. Absolute scum bags. It's not even a nice marina, take your well earned money else where.
