Outside of the hotel looked very nice!nBed was clean & Towels were clean, but the room overall needs some TLC. Air conditioners could definitely use some love- seemed a little moldy? The bathtub needs a bit of care too.nHowever Staff was very friendly and lobby was nice!
Beautiful lobby and front desk staff was very professional and friendly. Tami is great!nThe lobby had so many big windows. Let’s sunshine in and you can view the beautifulnGrounds.nThe pool was closed along with the hot tub. But I did use the fitness center for an hour and got a workout in.nThe breakfast buffet is recommended. They charge for it. I believe it was $13, Very affordable. Good quality food. To other hotels that do a free breakfast. Why do a free breakfast when the food sucks? The last free breakfast I had different hotel I was only able to stomach the munkins. Would’ve been better off not eating at all. This taught me a lesson.I will no longer care about a free breakfast. There is free coffee though. And the restaurant staff is wonderful.nnHotel had a complimentary flavored water jug. I took the 2nd from last cup then walked to parking lot to my car. Placed luggage inside then came back and the cups were restocked. This is excellent attention to detail. The rooms are little dated but they are still great. I also liked the riddle in the elevator and posted weather with operating hours of the Garden grill restaurant.nThe whole team at this location really makes their hotel stand out. Staff is incredible.nAlso, the hotel is quiet at night. Lately no matter how much I spend seems people like to be loud at night. This was not the case here. Respectful neighbors.nLet me end by saying this. You can stay at higher end hotels that are updated but the staff has no idea what they are doing. That frustration then gets trickled down on you, the customer.nOr you can stay at hotel that might not have the newest furniture, but the staff levels up your stay.nThank you Hilton Garden Inn of Kankakee!
Weaver in town for a family reunion and we had an excellent time.nnMy wife's only disappointment was that the pool had had to be closed because they were waiting for the state of Illinois to certify the pool after having had repairs made.nnI'm normally used to having a free breakfast provided the breakfast. On the positive side of that the breakfast was made to order we were served at our table and the staff was very friendly.
Hotel itself was quite good, but the staff made the difference for me. Dianne was so attentive and kind, and Reggie makes easily the best omelette I’ve ever had. Seriously I would come back and stay at the hotel JUST for the omelette, it was that good. Overall a pleasant stay will be back as this was a business trip.
Hotel is dated, could use some updated paint, wallpaper, and fixtures.nnStaff is friendly, location is good, and the on-site bar/restaurant has a great menu.nnRestaurant staff both morning and evening seem to be inexperienced but were friendly and accommodating.
