Fairfield Inn by Marriott Kankakee Bourbonnais

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was perfectly suited for us because of local restaurants that we love, but also for the accessibility that my husband needs. We would’ve used the pool, but it was under maintenance, but that’s OK too. I don’t think of swimming in the winter time anyway.

Room was filthy. Tons of black hair on walls of the shower and on bathroom floor. Bedding smelled like men's cologne and had stains on it. Property is old and needs to be updated. Staff was nice. Door had a 2 inch gap where you could see in the room and that's just not safe.

Honestly, the breakfast could maybe use some upgrading.. eggs were fresh but dry, biscuits were very dry, and the potatoes were not good. Also, it might be time to upgrade the TVs so something bigger than a 32”.. I had to sit right up on it to enjoy anything. But overall the staff was fantastic and the bed was very comfortable!

Eh. Definitely a 2-3 star hotel. Rooms are dated. Like think 1990's. Beds were fine. Bathroom at least clean. Hallways dim and smell musty. Awful breakfast. After coming to the area multiple times and trying different hotels, simply can't find one better than 3 stars. *sigh* Would be a good buisness opportunity.
