"Elmira’s Oldest Licensed Restaurant, guests are drawn to experience the same view that inspired Mark Twain. They return for the Irish Hospitality and great food. Originally a 1912 summer home, Hill Top Inn offers quality casual dining while overlooking the Chemung Valley. Indoor dining available next to the fireplace, in a private snug, or next to one of our many picture windows. In the warmer months, enjoy the outdoor decks, Tiki Deck, and Raw bar. Hill Top Inn is also a great venue for private events, wedding ceremonies and receptions, and meetings. Off premise catering also available for your wedding, picnic, or other private event."

Hands down the best restaurant all around I've probably ever been to. It's got it all: views, atmosphere, great service, amazing food, spectacular drinks, originality. If Hill Top Inn was a person, someone should lock it down and marry it ASAP.
We celebrated my parents anniversary at Hill Top Inn. We worked with the event coordinator to plan a special party. It was a pleasure working with her, and the celebration was beautiful! The food was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful! Thank you Hill Top Inn!
It is our first time to dine in here this evening.We just moved from Florida last week and we were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary.This is a perfect place.The view was stellar, food was amazing, ambiance was romantic and service was great. We even talked to the owner Mike who took our lovely pictures. We are definitely coming back next month together with our family. We found our favorite restaurant.
Went for brunch on Sunday. Busy!! Need to make a reservation! The bartender Jeremy was a star. He handled all drink orders with calm efficiency. Even the women who wanted every detail customized, because they didn't realize the other hundreds of people mattered. Breakfast was great. Possibly the best omelette i have had! Owner was also on sight and chipping in. Great place for views. Staff was attentive and friendly. The wings were great! Oysters were a tasty treat. The tuna was pretty good, but watch out for the wasabi- its the real deal. HOT! The calamari was very greasy and the ceasar salad was small and no dressing, and was $7. Lots of interesting mixed drinks. Definitely worth another trip back. Great staff, great food, great view...
Went for wife's birthday. One of the best prime I have had. Scallops au gratin were wonderful. Got there in time for a gorgeous sunset.
Every time we've been to the Hill Top, it's always been a great time. The food was excellent and the staff were so friendly and conscious of their guests. The views from there are just breathtaking, you get the entire valley of Elmira. And if you're there after nightfall the city lit up at is just as pretty. The Hill Top is very popular so be very patient if you go when they are busy, but it's all worth it when the food is arrives.
The food here was absolutely amazing! The scallops were the best I've ever had. The ambiance was relaxing and clean. The staff was courteous, and service was prompt. Though it was too cold for us to enjoy, there is an outdoor deck and fire pit for enjoyment during the warmer months.
After receiving an educational email from the owner about how buffets work and how restaurants outside Elmira often require deposits for reservations, I will oblige the owner, Mr. Sullivan, and state that we have previously enjoyed dining at Hilltop. The food was always good and the service was too. I found your private email response to this review to be both condescending and entertaining. -Thank you. Original review was that I wasn’t impressed with their pay in advance Thanksgiving reservation policy.
Delicious food, amazing service, beautiful relaxing atmosphere. Favorite place for date night. The scallops and brussels sprouts are so, so good. Lots of gluten free options available. And they stock our favorite wine. Dietary restrictions: Lots of gluten free options
