The park is very good for trails and camping. This is my 3rd visit and hope many more to come. We went recently in the 3rd week of October 2017 for the fall colors. Although it wasn't peak but still very good. There is a nice lake and a tiny beach. We have been there in winter once to see the frozen lake. It was awesome view.

Great place to go hiking and enjoy the beautiful sites of northern NJ! I went camping at a campground on Sawkill rd. The sites gave you access to toilets and some sites had bear safe boxes. The lake was clean and great for a paddle boat and some fishing. Follow park rules for the safety of people and wildlife. Don't forget to carry out what you carry in; take pride in keeping the area beautiful for others!

Well marked trails that will get your heart beating on the uphill sections and make you feel glad to be there when you get to the overlooks. If you still have some energy to burn, hike to the top of the monument. The view from the windows at the top are good, but the most impressive part is looking up from the bottom at the endless flights of stairs ahead of you.

Amazing place for fall colors. Highly recommend. We were late by one week but still the views were breath taking. The is also a treking trail that goes around, it is about a couple of miles takes about an hour and half. You can also drive if you want.

Awesome place. Being the highest point in New Jersey, it gives a 360 degree view of the surrounding area. Best time to visit this place is either sunrise or sunset.
