Visited this small, cosy place today. The foie gras was delicious. Perfect frying and delicate flavour. All the flavours of the dishes were delicate and competently seasoned. Service is very cultural and caring. The guys are awesome!Food: 5/5

Foie Gras everything! Fine dining food without the fine dining price tag. Great asian-fusion restaurant. A friend recommended Hestia to me when I said I was visiting Vancouver, and I'm so glad we took her recommendations! We tried the crab meat fettuccine and the foie Gras + AAA beef + onsen egg rice. Both were amazing. SUCH generous portions, even the guys couldn't finish their portion. And so delicious, too! Parking was a bit tricky, so we did takeout. There is a paid lot further by the waters of you're okay with walking. Please come to Toronto!

So I was surprised about this place’s approach — making fast food dishes with luxury ingredients at a medium price range … pretty cool I’d say. The restaurant is located on 2209 West 1st Avenue in Kitsilano so the demographics of this neighborhood could certainly be quite entertained and enjoy much the concept of their food items. In any event, I certainly enjoyed their food a great deal. With their casual and premium dining fusion dishes made from high quality luxury ingredients such as Rougié foie gras, Italian truffle, Fresh lobster or crab meat, sushi-grade Hokkaido Scallop, I would naturally be biased and expect the food to offer me above average tastes — and Hestia did not disappoint! We started from a new special tray/box set including 4 sliders, a mini risotto bowl, butter shrimp, butter corn, deep fried chicken wings, as well as fried tofu in roasted pepper sauce for $80 — everything was delicious and I really appreciate their work put into each slot of the tray. Other bowl items such as Omurice Bowl with Fried Chicken and Truffle Chicken Linguini were super flavourful and well-cooked so bravo there as well. If you visit, do try their new drink, The Garden, a lightly sweetened peach tea with rose, mint and lemonade with kanten balls seaweed jelly. I loved the taste, colours, and looked this drink — so pretty and refreshing to say the least. Providing delicious and still well-presented food, if you just want to get down to the beef pun intended and want to skip the overcharged 2/3 empty plate surfaces as found in upscale restos, and, do not mind them cardboard trays and bowls, Hastia is absolutely for you! Family friendly: Yes Pet friendly: Yes, outside seating only Parking: No, street parking only and its very limited FOOD: - Foie gras & Grilled AAA Striploin Bowl served w/ 1 piece Rougie foie gras, sous Canadian AAA striploin, and saute mushroom $27.85: 4 Stars – Super good! Their foie gras was so delicious and the striploin was cooked just right. - Foie Gras Slider Homemade bun with 1 piece Rougie foie gras, mashed potato, beef & pork patty and black truffle puree $19.85: 4 Stars – The best part of the slider was the foie gras. It did taste so much better eaten on its own as eating it as part of the slider masked the taste. - Deep Fried Chicken Slider Crispy deep-fried chicken, buns with spring mix, and garlic mayonnaise $13.85 2 piece per order: 5 Stars - Of all the slider, this was probably the best overall. The chicken was crispy and crunchy, great flavor, and married well with the other components. - Lobster & Crab Slider fresh butter lobster + local Dungeness Crab Meat $14.85: 3 Stars – I wanted to really like this, but I think because everything else we order was hot, I wasn’t expecting this to be cold. The lobster and crab didn’t have much flavor to it so it was slightly bland. - Crabmeat Noodle w/ Signature Yolk Sauce crab noodle with local crab meat and house special yolk sauce $24.85: 4 Stars – OMG! Nice creaminess and the flavor were on point! I understand why this is one of their Specials. RESTAURANT/MENU: The restaurant was a cute neighborhood style eatery. There is a couple of small tables outside on their “patio” and inside there was two tall long tables for shared space. Very hipster like with the wall drawn art and the utensils held in a large egg on the tables. I loves that their menu is pretty small as it means they focus on making each meal taste great. Huge plus is they have photos of each of their item and what you get look like it! I did wish they had some hard copy of their menu. They have the touchless menu where you need to scan with your phone. However being out-of-towners, we didn’t have the greatest service so a lot of the photos did not load. I did look up their menu at home! SERVICE: The cashier/waiter/employee was helpful and patient with us since we had a lot of questions. We only saw one other employee, the cook, but everyone was very friendly!

Very nice dishes and great portions for the price and quality they deliver. I was amazed how big were the scalps and the foigras very good quality and very tasty. We will be back to try more dishes. I really recommend this place.

I had the opportunity to come in during the day for lunch on a weekday with my colleague : It wasn't too busy & the place was nice. We tried their Supreme Foie Gras Rice Bowl ~ wow it was super tasty! The portion was generous & they were butter-y & just melts in your mouth : Their scallops on the crab meat risotto were in a jumbo size & was delicious in the pumpkin puree. Definitely recommend to visit if you haven't!

This place is so good. I tried a bunch of dishes with some friends and everything was super premium but the price, although not cheap, was very cheap for the ingredients offered. Taste was super as well. I tried their $80 sampler and it was super worth it! The sampler came with 4 sliders, mini risotto bowl, butter shrimp, butter corn, deep fried chicken wings, and deep fried tofu in roasted pepper sauce. For the sliders, I had Foie Gras Slider, BBQ Brisket Slider, Chicken Slider, Lobster & Crab Slider. I also tried some other dishes like: Foie gras & grilled AAA striploin bowl Scallop & crab meat risotto Omurice Shrimp & crab creamy linguini Gaunciale cream linguini Their ingredients are super fresh - the scallops in the risotto were Hokkaido scallops! Tasted absolutely amazing.

Super yum. The risotto and foie gras ordered is incredibly amazing. They offered only takeaway in the past but now have limited seats for eat in. Services are minimal but you can feel the effort they put to make great food. Must try!

This is such a hidden gem in Kits. Love their foie gras rice, huge portions here! Their portion and quality really worth what you pay Foie gras is huge and juicy Definitely drag one more person here to share everything with you because of the big portions.

They have this new “A Taste of Hestia” platter that allows you to try a bit of everything. It’s mind boggling that this set includes so much value - foie gras and Hokkaido scallops for a reasonable price. We also tried to their fried chicken omurice and the truffle chicken linguine. I can see why their omurice is one of their best selling items too. There’s some seating indoors and it also looks like this spot is very popular for take out and delivery too. Will definitely return again!
