About Us:
Heritage Health has proudly served North Idaho since 1985 under the names of Lake City Health and Dirne Health Centers, Inc. Heritage Health is a private, non-profit 501(C)(3)charitable organization operating under the name of Dirne Health Centers, Inc.

Heritage Health is governed by a board of directors, the majority of whom are active patients at our centers. This structure, combined with our non-profit status allows Heritage Health to be responsive first and foremost to the needs of our patients and not corporate shareholders. Our culture, pricing, hours of operation, services, locations and strategic direction are set by people who rely on us for their healthcare needs. This refreshing and unique structure is what sets us apart from the other profit focused healthcare organizations in our area. We truly are a community owned and operated resource.

Dr. Gary Bills at Heritage Health gave my daughter a shot to numb her mouth before she was about to get some dental work done and he just stabbed the needle into her mouth, causing excruciating pain. I told his assistant Erin that I didn't think a shot should be so painful and she just ignored me. My daughter had dental work done earlier that month and the dentist gave her a shot and she didn't even flinch because she didn't feel a thing when she was given the shot. They were in such a hurry that they didn't allow the numbing cream to take effect and also when you stab a needle in the way Gary Bills did, it's going to be extremely painful! Her poor little body almost jumped off the table. They were doing an tooth extraction which she's had done one other time by Dr. Justin Rader at Heritage Health with absolutely no pain or trauma. The extraction was so horrific, she was screaming and crying and begging them to stop because she was in so much pain and they kept saying, "it's just pressure, it's just pressure." Again, she's had this procedure done before with no pain or trauma. I would never take my child to Heritage Health again. We've had wonderful dentist there in the past, but it's not worth the off chance that you could possibly encounter a horrific dentist like Bills. His assist Erin was just as horrible. Again, my child and my 3 other children have receive dental work before and we've never experience anything as horrific and unprofessional as we did today. We've always had wonderful dental insurance, but 2 years ago when my husband switched jobs we lost our dental benefits. I felt like Heritage Health would be a good option for our family, but it's just not worth the emotional and physical costs. Saving money is just not worth it! I'll never make that mistake again.

I am 64 years old and like most my age I have spent many dollars and hours on tooth repair. I have lived all over this country, New York City, Virginia, Calif, upstate NY, Iowa, Florida and Idaho. Never in my life have I ever met a group that was so in tuned with a patients needs. The front desk was the friendliest and the most cooperative and competent staff you could ever come by. The dentist and their assistants were the true definition of being a professional. I had to have an abscessed tooth removed and they did it so well that I thought they were poking for numbness only to hear, "your done."

If your looking for a new job look the other direction! This place has the worst administration. They mostly go to the same morman church and discriminate bad! They purposely find reasons to write you up and fire you if you do not fit their perfect religious agenda or if you tell them they are doing something wrong they will get rid of you! Myself and half of their call center crew are no longer employed there because after our old manager at the call center left they pushed all the good folks out and kept their rats. Only a couple good people left and they hate their job. Ever wonder why your hold time is so high? They do not staff adequately for the call flow. People walk out get fired constantly. They underpay their staff and offer awful benefit packages. Just so everyone is aware their providers have to see so many patients in a week or they get in trouble so they are on a quota. The call center is required to take 450 calls a week and keep those calls to a minimum time frame. So you don't get good care because the employees are forced to not care for you. I was followed to a Dr appointment when I was sick by a temporary manager. Women go to use the rest room and have been followed into the rest room and told just checking to make sure you were going here. It's a complete joke save yourself time and go elsewhere!

Please send all complaints to the Better Business Bureau and Medicare and Medicaid. The Idaho State Board of Medicine. Search for the links on Google under report a medical clinic.

Very friendly staff. I was a wreck and in years before I even went back. One of the check-in staff there came over and talked with me. She let the others know of my fear and they all went out of their way to make me feel safe. They walked me through all of it and went over my options. Best Dentist experience I have ever had. Highly recommend them.
