I've had excellent dentists till I hit about 55yo. After which I simply let my teeth get really bad. So bad, I had to get an Upper Denture from Dr Dick's office. Fantastic office staff and this most excellent dentist looks you straight in the eyes and makes outstanding eye contact with you on every visit. This is what puts you right away... at greatest ease ever in a dentist's chair. His technique and skills are excellent and you'll get shots you'll never feel! This is a highly skilled dentist with a just as excellent and friendly staff taking care of you. Now for once I actually like going to the dentist. For which my procedure consisted of major work done over many many visits. You get to know them all and they get excited for you with all the dramatic changes that can come from having major dental work done! I could have gone to some big name denture clinic for cheaper. But.... just so glad I chose Delwyn Dick's office instead. I've got a 4 implant on upper denture now and for anyone thinking of getting just a denture, I can tell you it's well worth more money to be able to eat as if you had your own teeth back!!! I now have a fantastic smile on my face near all the time. Since it's all done now and they work as well as they look. Only.... now I'll just get to see them all at Dr Dick's office about twice year and that's sad! lol.... I love the whole experience so much. Even now with all it being just for cleanings on lower teeth.... still looking forward to my next visit to Dr Dick's Office! :-D Robert N.

Refuses to honor or stand by the work he performed! Buyer beware. Your warranty on your mouth is very important as well as educating yourself on what you see in a consult. When you see your teeth on a large screen in front of you and your dentist points out dark spots etc. it looks like Greek to you because it's not your language. Or industry to read X-rays, but it can appear much scarier than what the truth is. Easy to sell you more than what you need. Highly recommend that you get several consults to make sure that you are being treated fairly & honestly. Most importantly but truthfully Delwyn was the only dentist that performed work in my mouth that was extensive, he received his license for Idaho, I was his dental board patient, he & another instructor from Loma Linda University intentionally caused a hairline fracture using a small hammer & metal device on a virgin tooth to create the class II, perfect, board accepted tooth for repair. Tea bags sucked on created stain and it was accepted by the board for Delwyns dental board exam in 1992. I did not realize or have any understanding, reasonably, the cost, the pain & the embarrasment of allowing him to do this to my mouth. I've since lost that tooth in 1998 and have had to endure several implants, surgeries, bone augmentations, grafting, root canals & multiple attempts at crown work. Braces to try to get my bite fixed. Changing the structure of one tooth affected my entire mouth drastically. As a consumer you need to understand this. The teeth begin to shift the bite altered, migraines began & the downhill spiral of multiple root canals, over contoured crowns that have been replaced more then 4 times on each tooth. And what is more ironic that every day this man profits from the loss of my virgin tooth that got him his board certification, but arrogantly refuses to stand behind his work because it is costly as well as time consuming. I tell you my personal story, because I have finally found my voice, to educate future, existing and potential patients who cant or don't understand the clinical side and are easy prey for this dentist to sell you work that may appear as desperately needed. Those big pictures on the big screen he shows? It's really easy to sell big if something that may be small. My advice to all patients of all practices is this: make sure that you cut the least amount on your natural tooth structure as possible!! Brush your teeth daily, floss at least three or four times a week, stay away from soda, juice sugar free gum to keep your mouth lubricated which cuts down on the risk of decay! Sometimes when you have a possible root canal staring you in the face, your in pain, your not sure where it's coming from, be very very cautious, it can be a biological problem and I would not rush into having extensive work done unless there was absolute certainty decay is past the dentin and into the pulp that houses the nerve. I personally did end up having to have five root canals on teeth with no sign of decay, many redone trying to find out why I was still in pain.... inflamation of the nerves was caused from having crowns that were not contoured properly, uprooting the occlusion of my teeth, which all stems from the one tooth sacrificed for the license of Dr. Dick. I think it's fair that his future patients and current patients are aware. The truth is my experience creates a desire to educate patients from a patients perspective and also someone Who has been in the dental industry since 1990 . This is a potentially a very expensive venture yet it is so important that you keep your teeth for a lifetime which brings me to my final point, it is important that you understand the value of having a dentist that is not only kind while he is collecting from you and initially getting you out of pain but you need a provider that is skilled, one that trusts his own work and feels what he does is valuable enough to honor for a lifetime. It's all happy for everyone till issues come up. That is the story that needs to be feared.....

I hate going to the dentist! I have a ton of anxiety when I am in the chair. Dr. Delwyn took great care of me. I didn't even know when he injected me. Constantly asked if I was ok. I very highly recommend him!
