Herbs is a cozy, warm, inviting space with a traditional pub feel. The vibe was great. The food and drinks were truly enjoyable. The only issue and unfortunately is a significant one the prices are pretty inflated. The food was fairly reasonable however the drinks were just overpriced. $9 for a draft beer and $16 for a martini. Additionally, it was $14 for a side of fries. If the prices were more in line with surrounding establishments, we would 100% go back.
Food and drink is always too expensive, but when friends want to go, I agree to join but would never choose this place myself. Staff are usually nice and attentive, but the place often feels dead inside unless it's deep into prime dining hours - on my last visit the whole bar was silent while our table laughed and talked over food and drink. Food usually takes forever to come out too which is another reason I prefer to stay away. Lower the prices of everything and I could give them more chances. Also, for context, the too-high prices have been for many years - at least back to 2014/2015 when I first went - not part of COVID issues.
Good burgers, food and service. Prices are high though. $10.50 for a very good burger with mushrooms & onion. No sides. Cheese, lettuce, tomato, etc is all extra. Fries, onion rings, etc is extra. Extremely overpriced! Charged for Mayo. Son ordered BLT on wheat bread received 9 grain bread, should have been told that’s their wheat bread. Small fries $5.50 we received a small bowl of bottom of the bag fries all broken. 2 burgers FRIES and a BLT $61.00 is absolutely absurd! also had 3 soft drinks which we didn’t receive straws Will not be returning!
Stumbled on this place by accident and so glad we did. Little pricey but unbeatable breakfast. Very cute place staffed with friendly people. You will likely leave happy but will not leave hungry.
One of those rare pubs where you feel like you've been there before even though it's your first time. There's a very pleasant vibe in the place augmented by the speedy and excellent service. The menu is diverse with daily special dishes. It can get very busy during brunch, this is a popular restaurant that's been around for a long time.
Came when I was in the area for a job interview. The painkiller that Chris made me really helped after that lol. I had a tuna melt and wings and enjoyed both. I like really everything about the place. For someone that really enjoys food and trying new places the highest compliment I can give is that I would come back
We had a great Sunday breakfast after mass. Did not have reservation but did get seated. Herb's is a local golden spot. But does suffer the same difficulty as other restaurants in finding full staffing levels. Schools have started here.
First time I've been here I was told awesome things about this small restaurant with a big taste. Definitely something everyone can enjoy and needs to try %Food: 5/5
Relax and Enjoy. This is a pleasant, welcoming, place that shows appreciation for you. Coziest place in colder months. The bar is a friendly, communal experience, sharing good vibrations, and yes, libations. The tables family friendly. DO read the menu, ask of your Server. They will tell it to you straight for those commentors mentioning Market Prices or specific charges. The menu has been recently upgraded to lessen any confusion. In 2023, Herbs Tavern celebrates 60 Years in business. I've only known of them for three years. But, next year is my 60th, also! Lol.... Ya can't hang around 60yrs without doing something right. And they've IMPROVED, not just hung around.. Restaurant/Food Service is a tough bizz. Hundreds enjoy Herbs Tavern every day, even while hours are shortened due to staffing issues Herbs by no means alone in this. They don't all write google reviews. In fact, it is often noted in such a business, you won't hear so much of the praise, as you will the criticism. Human nature. So, try Herbs Tavern, if you have yet to. Got kids or grandkids? Santa visits for at least two breakfasts in December! Herbs is unique. Has it's own character. Meet Herbs. Say Hi. Introduce Yourself. You'll Be Glad You Did. Rock On, Herbs Tavern! This World needs dependable "watering holes" like yours! Well, ya know what I mean.....
