Henry's Hip Eats

A nice Vietnamese food truck offering deep fried goodness. I have had the pleasure to try this food truck on a few occasions and have not been disappointed. Recently had their “All Day Brunch Box” which consists of fried lemon grass chicken sandwich, a fried egg, and side of tater tots. What more could you ask for in deep fried goodness! The chicken is a darker meat, juicy, and more flavorful. The pickled slaw could use more pickling flavor to help cut some of the grease feeling from the chicken though it is not extremely greasy to begin with. The fried egg is always a nice touch but the yolk could be a tad runnier make sure to specify this if you prefer, I had forgotten. Overall it’s a nice explosion of flavours. The tater tots were phenomenal and really satisfied the craving. The staff/owners were super friendly as well. Would recommend!

We didn't know what to expect the first time we tried Henry's food but it was great. We keep coming back for more. Tacos, fried chicken and the supreme tots are all things you pair with a nice cold beer. Great taste and friendly people. Check them out!

I was treated to lunch when their food truck showed up at the local high school. I had the lemongrass chicken with vermicelli noodles. The chicken was flavourful and cooked to perfection. A great lunch value for $10. I can’t wait to try their other dishes.

Had a quick midday snack from here when it was at Studio Brewing. I was skeptical about the fusion tacos but they were delicioussss. I loved the seasoning and skin on the lemongrass fried chicken too. Great flavours all around.

@Matthew and Christina, i checked the website and counted approx 12 tater tots in the photo. Not misleading at all! Henry’s food truck is amazing and your reviews are unfair and invalid. Where else can you get tater tots and grilled cheese for $9?

Great little food truck. Ordered their best-selling meal box which consisted of grilled pork patties, lemon grass fried chicken, rice, pickled veggies, veggie spring roll and fish sauce, in addition to a couple of veggie salad rolls and tater tots. The pork patties were well seasoned, the veggie spring roll was okay, nothing special but the lemon grass fried chicken was nice and crispy with a subtle hint of lemon grass - absolutely delicious! The salad rolls were pretty good and actually didn't need any meat at all. The fried onions in the rolls more than made up for that! As for the tots, who doesnt love fried tater tots? If you ever come across this food truck, be sure to check it out!

Discovered these guys at my first craft market years ago at the Ellis Building. I have been in love with their food ever since. It's all the Vietnamese street food highlights elevated to the next level. I always grab the combo box with a side of Lemongrass chicken. The food is too good to order just 1 item!

Tried this place for the first time yesterday and I think I've found my new favourite Vietnamese restaurant! We got takeout and everything was packed so nicely, the food was still hot. I had the pork and friend chicken box on vermicelli, and it was SO good! Oftentimes the vermicelli ratio is off and I end up with too much but this was perfect, and you get so much food for the price! If I had eaten breakfast I don't think I would have been able to finish. Definitely will be coming back again! Going to try the tater tots next time. PS the photo does not do the food justice, I was just really excited to eat

First time Ordered the chicken sandwich and tots combo, so yummy! The fried chicken was extremely juicy and flavourful loved that they use dark meat - my favorite!, the egg was ooey gooey delicious and the richness of the sandwich was balanced with the tang of pickled cucumber and carrots! Tots completed the fantastic meal, such an enjoyable way to savour a warm sunny spring day! Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu

Amazing chicken wings!!! They make one of the best chicken wings I’ve ever tasted. Moist, full of flavour and served scorch-your-mouth hot. Comes in a variety of dipping sauces but honestly, plain is the way to go. Super friendly service!
