Lovely place to have a nice lunch or dinner! The service was really great the presentation was amazing and I was absolutely in love with the Hokkaido shrimp that I had Absolutely was in love with the vibes here once I arrived. Everything was super tasty especially the shrimp! Lemme just say this…. ….. y’all that was flavoured too nicely ! I think about that shrimp from time to time. The scallops were good too but yeah that shrimp lives in my mind rent free. ‍ ‍ Everyone was super nice and even though we ended up eating quite a bit at the bar as the seats were filled it was still a great experience. Next time I want to take the opportunity to check out their karaoke. It looks like it would be really fun, they also have a nice looking patio
My daughter and I went for dinner. We have had some of the best sushi in famous sushi restaurants and I have to say this was one of the best experiences we have had. Our server Victoria was very friendly and the food was reaching our table very quickly. I would definitely eat here again. Also they have happy hour from 4-5 pm which give you some of the rolls for half price
One of the Best Japanese restaurant in Alberta! Upon entering, you will be welcomed by a gorgeous interior decor and ‘hip-dining’ vibe. I asked for the ‘fire-table’ in my reservation and they happily placed us in a beautiful communal table with a fire place in the middle! The guy server who helped us was amazing and all of his recommendations were spot on! Their scallops is one of best I’ve had and you can really taste the sea! Yakitori Chicken skewers has a very good char and smoke flavour. We also ordered their Prawn sushi press and California Crab sushi press. Both were okay and really great for appetizer. I also had their Sake flight 3oz sake x 3 glasses and it’s a good way to introduce yourself to Sake world if you haven’t had one. It is best to pair it with their amazing appetizers. I got the chance to see their amazing Karaoke rooms and their Tiny Bar, which were good concepts and nice additional activities in Banff! Overall, we really had a wonderful experience in Hello Sunshine! Hoping to get back soon and try out their Sake Bomb!
The service here is out of this world! Talk about professional, knowledgable and fun! Our server Dom did an A1 job and it made the experience great, along with the rest of the kind employees. The food was alright and this place is VERY expensive but in some ways worth the price, namely the cocktails! I had the Smokey Ginger Margarita and it might be one of the best cocktails I've had in ages. I would recommend coming to this place for 10/10 drinks and a great ambience. Loved it!
This place is AMAZING!!!! It’s definitely on the pricey side but once you try it you won’t be disappointed, it’s worth it. Our server was very knowledgeable and helped us decide what to order. The drinks were also phenomenal! They really take their time to make it perfect and the presentation was great. I cannot wait to come back here and try more off their menu.
We LOVED this restaurant! We walked in and the waiter asked us if we had been there before and upon answering “no”, he immediately explained all we needed to know and helped us order everything! We tried so many new foods and they were all delicious. He also helped us order drinks! The ambiance of the place is immaculate. Nothing like I have ever seen before! Definitely pricey but also definitely worth it! Will definitely be coming back!
Hello Sunshine is my new favourite place. I’m already planning to have my birthday here, and it’s not for months. Everything about our experience was perfect. Patrick and Cam behind the bar are magic. Their recommendations were all 10/10. They took the time to explain every dish and drink, and you could tell they really meant the praise they’d give the food. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had, and I will definitely be making a trip out just to eat that kabocha squash again.
AMAZING!!! The food is spectacular. We went here after several recommendations from the locals! My husband and I LOVED the food, service, and ambiance. He's really picky so this restaurant actually impressed. The ambiance is warm, intimate, and retro. My favorite item was the kabocha squash. I'm not one who loves vegetables like that but this squash was so crispy and perfectly tender. I'm still dreaming about it. The pressed sushi was good too. Also! Get the hamachi and jalapeno hand roll. Just WOW. We loved our server Alex. He was friendly and attentive. This made for a great birthday.
Food was good. Ramen broth tasty. Sushi rolls a tad on the small size. Decor nice and the fireplaces are a nice touch. However, while there were plenty of tables, we were seated at table one - right next to the door that was constantly opening and closing - requiring all of us in our party to wear our coats due to the cold drafts. Also, the staff are quick to get you in and out - obviously interested in turning tables faster for more revenue. Sadly it killed the vibe for us.
An a la carte upscale Japanese dining experience for sure. The decor certainly has had a lot of love put into it that sitting inside is a pleasure. The wait staff are very personable and welcoming. We, as two people, were able to get in right away with no reservations thankfully during what looked like a busy dinner time. I highly recommend the beef tataki, and the amazing melt in your mouth sushi!
