Quite disappointing for a Harvey's. Harvey's is one of our go-to fast food places, because the food is reliably good and the service is good as well, but in this case, we were disappointed in several aspects. I'm not sure if the process in this location is unique, or if it a new model for Harvey's in general. If it is a new model, I hope they change their minds and go back to the old way. First of all, the food was the usual Harvey's great for most of us we had a group of five, but one of us did not get her sandwich prepared the way she asked, and that was entirely due to the process at this location. Normally at a Harvey's, you place your order at the cash, pay, and go stand at the counter and tell the person preparing your burger how you want it prepared. If there is an issue, it can be corrected right there. At this place, they treated the walk-in customers as if they were passing through the drive-through. We were asked what we wanted on our burgers at the cash, which caused some delay, since we were not prepared to answer those questions at that stage, and it made the process at the cash slower. Then when we walked to the counter to wait for our order to be prepared, we were told, and quite rudely at that, to go away and wait elsewhere in the restaurant and that our food would be brought to us. As a result, we ended up with too many straws we got our own not knowing they would be added in the bag with our order, not enough napkins none were available at the drinks station, one sandwich not made as requested, and a job to sort out which sandwich belonged to each person because it was all in one bag, rather than individual orders. All that could have been prevented if we had been allowed to stay at the counter and watch as our orders were prepared. I very much hope that this process is not a new standard for Harvey's in general, because it would certainly affect my decisions about where to eat in the future.
Horrible. Tried to serve an old burnt hot dog. Then tried to justify people like them that way. It had been sitting a while. Also the chicken strips were uneditble. Old looked to be recooked . Also it was filthy. Floors were slick and in and out doors were absolutely filthy.
Nice staff. Grilled chicken had no flavour. 1st time to Harvey's in about 12 - 15 years. Of all fast food, I would still choose Harvey's over McDonald's but today reinforced why I make my own food to go
We do not have any Harvey's where I live now, they did not survive Covid. Having my favourite burger, really the only one I like, served in a drive through and made EXACTLY how I wanted it, was lovely. The young man also served us when we went in for Swiss chalet, he was accommodating, polite and thoughtful.Food: 5/5
Staff are very nice, this is why the place gets 4 stars instead of 3. The waiting time could be better. Takes a long time to get food out, one time it took around 30 minutes I believe. The food was ok, good. A nice place, just needs to be a bit quicker.
Very sarcastic clerk when we were ordering. Just asked a question and she made me feel stupid. The young workers were very good. Also also we were getting our toppings and mine was done. He was just going to prepare my partner's burger and she snatched it from the counter and put it on another order. She needs talking to.
I've stopped here a few times over the past couple years - consistently slow service. We were the only car in the drive thru and there was only one family ordering inside from what I saw and it took about 15 minutes to get our food. Food was fine, what we expected - but the time was ridiculous.
AVOID! Truly HORRIBLE! AVOID! Waited 9 minutes in drive thru only to be burdened with this terribly stale, withered hot dog see photo. Hidden beneath toppings, it was apparent how old it was by the dry crunch when biting into it! Ughhh! Went into restaurant to return it. Manager Jennifer was unapologetic, sullen, rude and would not answer how they could have ever dared to serve literal garbage to a customer. Because of her immature attitude toward both food safety and customer service, I advised that I would be sending a report and photo to corporate. I was treated like a criminal by a restaurant that actually served rotten food! They need to be closed down before someone gets seriously ill or worse. Unthinkably horrible!
I’m always really content at this location. Facility is clean, food is consistent, I love being able to mix & match Harvey’s and Swiss Chalet, friendly and familiar faces, plus I feel safe, they take COVID-19 seriously. I stop here frequently on my travels and I’m glad I found this spot.
Today, it's Friday night, I get there around 8:15 and they have all the chairs up on the tables and cleaning up?!? Then, while eating, shutting off the music at 8:30. The restaurant's closing time is 10pm. Really?!?
