Avoid at all costs. This place does not practice safe food handling practices nor do they treat their customers well or talk to them at all. Made a delivery order that included spring rolls. I've had them here before and at other Swiss chalets and they looked fine. When I opened it I was shocked. How did anyone in their right mind think that that is an acceptable way to give food to the customer?? It's burnt to blackness and there are pieces missing. We tried calling several times at 7pm and no answer. We drove to the restaurant which was closed at 7:30pm and we had to go through drive through which took 20 minutes with only 2 cars ahead of us. When we informed them about what happened there was no apology. When we got the new spring rolls they came in a different black box that wasn't see through and the person giving it to us didn't say a word and closed the window right away. I opened them as we were driving away and realized they did the same thing with the new batch. We came back again and the lady at the drive through speaker was very annoyed and said that that is how they cook them but she will take them out early she guesses. What in the world?? You close an hour early with no information about it on the website and produce terrible quality dishes while not accepting your fault at all. Never again will we eat here.
These hard working people deserve a raise! They are understaffed and still give exceptional service. They were slammed when I arrived but they still got us our food in a timely manor. Even though the dining room couldn’t remain open temporarily the staff handled the situation with grace. Will definitely be back.
All comments are 100% correct. I have seen the kid employees come out of this place at night and leave the garbage by the back door and not take it to the bin. The next morning the whole parking lot was full of garbage and seagulls. Horrible employees that do not care, and an even worst owner who is happy as long as he turns a profit to keep it going. Notice how he does not address any comments here at all. Sorry, leaving a link for the survey you get perks from people taking is not a way to fix or address the problem. They never answer their phone either. 100% unaccountable for the horrible way he runs the business. Take the time to call corporate office and not the survey he gives you. Very horrible place. Not a single comment here over exaggerates on how bad they do.
Excellent help from the manager Dez. I had to buy almost 100 gift cards at once for thousands of dollars around noon on a Saturday. She was able to help get it organized and done in a timely manner while also dealing with hungry ordering customers and all the usual employee supervision. Superior work and effort
UPDATE.. Thank you for looking into this Harvey's; however, i have no interest in your survey... I've filled one out before for Swiss Chalet and was a total waste if time. Ive found that Google surveys produce better results in rectifying complants. I should note that the rest of the meal was good. No one in the restaurant 4:20pm... looking back... it probably was a clue... when I came in, yet every table was dirty Napkins and crumbs/salt clearly visible with the sun shining in. The floor was dirty with burger toppings, fries etc . I could understand this if it was busy, but it was litterally empty. 1st order of fries we got were cold they did apologize, however, when there is only 2 working, how can you not be aware of when they were cooked The bun I got with my Chalet meal was like rubber. Not sure I'll be back.
Just picked up the Swiss Chalet Festive Special half chicken dinner. Was really looking forward to it. Big disappointment. Chicken was dry on the insided, greasy on the outside and did not smell right. Bread roll was covered in grease in the box. The stuffing smelled off and tasted worse. I've seen better looking cat food. Did not receive the chalet dipping sause either. Fries were the only good thing. Hoping I don't get sick from this.
Horrible! I have went here 3 times in the last couple of months. 1st time there was 3 vehicles ahead of me at 6:40, the line slowly moved and we reached the speaker at 7 and the speaker says a recording “we are closed”. After us and 2 other vehicles had been waiting there for 20 minutes. 2nd time we ordered 3 festive specials with white meat, we received dark meat even though we were charged for white, 2/3 buns, 1/3 stuffing, 2/3 cranberry sauce. 3rd time I get to the order speaker and no one says anything, I waited 5 minutes and said “hello” they came back saying it would be a bit, I said “ok” then 10 minutes later they asked me to just come in that they were too busy. This place needs to just shut down!
Just had lunch here. My meal was barely ok. My husband's was a burger that had been reheated a few times. It was cold and stale. Fries and onion rings also cold and very stale. Washrooms are dirty and smell terrible. Won't stop here again.
The store was dirty. The lady working there was doing store front and drive thru as there was no one else working. She called a kid to take out order and half way thru he stops and starts arguing with someone in the back. The hot lamps were not on therefore fries were cold and I asked to have my bun warmed up and it was cold also. Very upset. Health inspector would have shut the place down. Felt very sorry for the lady basically doing everything herself.
Granddaughter Ordered 1/4 white. Took forever. I had to go back and request sauce- thickness of pudding I ordered perogies . They put in system as spring rolls. I corrected the cashier to order perogies which she did. Spring rolls arrived. I had to go back to ask for sour cream. Perogies like cardboard Worst meal I ever had at a Swiss chalet
