It's basically a big public mineral pool $25 for 3 hours, per person. There are some jets and water features, but basically just a pool. If you are in Spa and have time to kill, might as well check it off your list...but don't go out of your way to see it. Honestly, it's weird. I wouldn't go again.
Add a bit more zen to the commercial aspect with regards to the treatments à l’Institut. Now very much a factory approach…in and out. However, giving people 5 minutes to wind down after treatment, an explanation of how to improve skincare, and why products are recommended, would already make a difference. Even the receptionist - where the products can be bought - doesn’t explain the why, what and how of what was written down on that paper we were given in fact, she was quite rude. In short, customer experience to be improved à l’Institut. On the other hand, the ladies downstairs at the entrance are amazing!
Totally disappointed with Thermes de Spa! I had in mind it's a health resort, it turns out to be just a place with a fancy big pool included 2 jacuzzis in it I must say; the design of this big pool is quite nice and impressive! Then an open relax area with some lamps on top of the chairs The floor was wet and slippery and so noisy from the big pool plus some swiches for the lamps were not even working. A huge wet changing room and a restaurant. As luckily we also booked the body massage. We got a better service which we could exclusively using a private lift to go to the 2nd floor, where you could have a quiet pleasant restaurant for lunch. Much better changing room with shower facilities and a 100% quiet relaxing room where I got a relaxing day by spending most of the time there in between the sauna and hammam. Actually one could get all these facilities and services in many exclusive gym too! No need to come all the way here! So because we paid extra for the body massage. We could get the better hospitality out of the facilities. But the worst part was the body massage that I was looking forwards to so much was a disaster! In my life I had so many body massages in many different countries. In my experience this must be the worst one. Sorry it was not a massage! All I could describe was like someone kept APPLYING some oil all over your body! There were no rubbing or don't even mention massaging. Isn't body massage means massage from neck to toes? This is the first time I had a body massage was from neck to ankle. She never did my feet? I wonder how could Thermes de Spa could send an apprentice instead of a qualified massagist to their customers?? The 1 point I gave here was for my lunch. Very good choices and fair price for the buffet lunch.
I was so looking forward to spending the day here and booked my friend and I in from 10.00 until 17.30, wish I'd booked it until closing. We booked the friend package so that included a massage and a facial, plus lunch buffet and full use of the spa. The whole day was amazing! Staff were friendly, lunch was great and treatments really good. Would highly recommend.
Very disappointing experience! Please don't claim to be a luxury Spa. It's a public pool with some sub-standard treatment offers. We took the "between girls" package and were very disturbed by the lack of calm and quiet spaces. Floors and treatment rooms as well as the water in the pools were cold, no relaxation there. Ladies offering the massages and facial treatment were nice but obviously not well trained! Lunch buffet was served in a cold room, and was anything but freshly prepared. We tried almost everything on the buffet and were honestly disgusted. This place lacks class and knowhow! Please don't make the same mistake expecting luxury at this spa.
Large pool including outdoor section was fine, but crowded and felt like a normal swimming pool. No hotter or colder pools. Sauna and hammam were fine but you have a cold walk up the stairs and across a hall, which is not really acceptable. People were slipping on the floor as sandals were not allowed. Too expensive.
A very pleasant experience over all, booked a duo massage, were helped well, got a batherope and flipflops, and the massage was very relaxing. What definitely adds up to it is the beautiful location. There's also a sort cable car that brings you up, if you get the chance to to that.
Overall, it is a good place with a great pool and jacuzzi, outdoors pool with a great view to the town especially in the evening and comfortable temperature even being out in 2C, due to my personal preferences, I did not like the fact of prohibition to use slippers only bare foot in a public space, also not a big sauna and it was crowded in the evening.
Not worth the price to be honest.. they only have 2 saunas, one normal and one hammam that are upstairs where you have to walk on the cold floor without slippers they’re not allowed. It doesn’t look or feel like an inviting and relaxing spa. The food was ok, but I wouldn’t come here again.
Nice POOL. This isn't a "spa" and they sure do NOT a "hamam". Don't get me wrong, the place is fairly nice, got a big pool, some type of jacuzzis, a small sauna, the staff was friendly and it was clean. The best feature is the outdoor pool, that was something. But the issue is that they claim to be some luxurious place where you can go get pampered but its nit true they don't even give you a towel! You just pay 30 euros to hang out for 3 hours, swim in the pool and then shower in public open showers and run back. home. There is a restaurant, very expensive for tiny portions, the food was tasty tho. About the hamam, I was so disappointed I laughed ! Its literally a tiny hot steamy room where way too many people are sitting one next to the other. Very very different from what a hamam should be, it should be called a steamy sauna. The sauna was okay, enjoyable. All in, I don't regret going because tbh 30e for 3 hours is a fair price and the outdoor pool is worth experiencing. Probably wouldn't go back any time soon, but fun if you're bored on a Sunday and live close by.
