A line worth the wait, to buy fresh baked bread. It is the gem in the neighbourhood. Worth a try.
As a Montreal transplant, I "know" bagels. And the biggest disappointment regarding Harbord bakery is their bagels. Their bagels are simply bread with a hole in the middle, airy light dough. Their breads are great, but bagels should be real bagels and they're not.
Go to Harbord Bakery and get a poppy seed danish. Thank me later. If you're feeling REALLY cheeky, get yourself a chocolate danish ring, make yourself a pot of coffee, and turn your phone off.
The bagels are on of the best I’ve had in Toronto, the cookies are divine and their cheese puffs are just the best! Very clean with friendly and helpful staff - could do with a bit more variety - I strongly recommend you give them a try, you won’t regret it
This place is a staple in our neighborhood, and I go there often. In addition to breads and deserts, they also serve a variety of hot food such as chili, soup, pasta dishes, pot pies, and more. It is all very good. I would personally recommend the chicken pot pie.
Have been enjoying the food here my whole life, always worth a visit, highly recommend.
Always good for a quick fix of Jewish staples. Great baked goods, satisfying scoops, lots of "oh I forgot they sold this here" pantry staples and fridge / frozen items.
A wonderful local bakery I have been visiting since to early 1980s Great bagels bread and pastries
