Harbor Inn

I enjoyed staying here. It's not a five star Hilton and I didn't expect it to be one either. The staff were very nice and helpful, the rooms were clean and well maintained and it enjoys a God location on the island making it easy to get out and see the sights. It is also priced affordably and is a great value for the money. I'd be glad to stay here again when I come back to whidbey Island.

Located in Freeland, on the southern end of Whidbey island, it's not too far from Langely and the ferry to Mukilteo. Nothing fancy, basic hotel room. Room was spacious, had a mini fridge and microwave, hairdryer, good heating and cooling unit. Towels and pillows were a little old and funky. Bed was hard to get comfortable on. They had a crib for our baby but it was tiny, she barely fit so we ended up cosleeping on the big bed. Nearby roads and strip mall make it kind of noisy (loud motorcycle riders liked the area). Parking for the hotel is in front of the rope of rooms, so we were awoken several times by idling vehicles, slamming doors and late arrivals. There are beautiful trellised flower vines in front of the rooms that unfortunately lure noisy birds for a cacophony at dawn. But it's nice to have so much wildlife to watch, there were also bunnies living on the lawn out front. Big windows in front had a good blackout shade but no privacy sheer underneath for getting light during day use. Rooms aren't terribly soundproof, we could hear all the surrounding rooms conversation and a dog running back and forth upstairs all night. Despite all this, there aren't many budget options for overnight stays on the island, so we probably would stay here again.

Our stay at Harbor In was great, the room was clean and stylish, however the bed was very stiff and the pillows were so large and stiff we ended up ditching them entirely. Bring your own and you'll be fine :)

Clean. Roomy. Quite. Restaurant and grocery store within walking distance. WiFi worked great

Service was fine, the room was perfectly average. The supplied shampoo/conditioner and soap was terrible and actively smelled unpleasant.
