Disappointing service at front desk.nMy elderly parents drove over 12 hours to arrive at their hotel.nMy mothers purse was misplaced at one of their previous stops before we arrived at the hotel to unload all of their luggage.nWe had 12 suitcases unloaded in the lobby and were rudely told by staff that unless the card was presented that the booking was made under we could not access the room even to store the stuff while another family member went to attempt to locate the missing purse.nWe provided photos of the card and IDs as we had many other documents with us due to their travel. Still the front desk staff was unwilling to even contact a manager or work on any solution with us.nWe asked for a manager repeatedly and she merely told us that they did not want to be disturbed and she would not call a manager under any circumstance.nThis is absolutely absurd behaviour by the staff and highly unprofessional of the managers if they did in fact demand this of their staff.nMy wife has worked in hospitality a long time and this is shocking conduct and even more concerning that the staff said this is all policy the managers have made.nMy father has dementia and was highly distressed by the event.nMy parents have stayed here many times and We will not be back.nDisappointing.
This has the appearance inside and out of an older Hotel that has undergone a few cosmetic upgrades and some more in depth room upgrades. We only stayed one night and did not test out much of the facility.nnThe receptionist was pleasant and check in was smooth. Our room, on the second floor, was readily accessible by elevator or a wide set of stairs. Interestingly, the breakfast service is also on the second floor; unusual in most places.nnOur room was a very nice sized King, with couch, desk and set of drawers. The bedding and mattress were very good. The bathroom sink separated by door from shower/toilet was a fine but a bit cramped.nnBreakfast was as per usually with most hotels that serve it these days - unimaginative.nnOverall a decent stay with opportunities to improve.
-Room quality-2 stars also had antsn-Hot tub was cold & pool cloudy/dirty- 1 starn-end of hallway smelt like moldn-food was awesome! 5 starsn-service was outstanding! 5 starsn-300 a night however was double the cost of the overall experience so too expensive/valuennOverall 3/5 stars because the staff were so friendly and professional, otherwise 2 stars.nnTo the owners, you’re lucky your staff are so good and friendly because your building is in desperate need of renovation/restoration. I hope you pay your staff well because they deserve it.
The Best Western Plus Langley Inn is in a great location and a very clean place. However, we had an item go missing our second night there. A reusable tumbler was placed behind my parent’s bag unused and brand new in the location of the wrapped hotel cup in the picture. While we were out, one of the housekeepers either took it or threw it out. Upon speaking to the front desk, they said the cup and reusable straw was thrown out after speaking to housekeeping. They told us that it was their policy to throw out plastic cups due to germs, but there were several used plastic cups left in the bathroom that were untouched by housekeeping. We had driven down almost 3 hours to Seattle and waited half an hour in line to purchase this cup in this one location where it’s available and they offered us $5 CAD to replace the cup despite a replacement being $20 USD. I do not understand how housekeeping touched our property and moved it around to throw out one of our belongings. We will not be staying at this location again. The housekeepers will touch your belongings without your permission and take/throw out your possessions.
It's fine. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good, TV was a bit small. Pool and hot tub are very basic, but did the trick
